My dog has a sensitive stomach so we are cautious with new products but we needed something to help ease his severe anxiety during road trips. At longest our car trips are about 3 hours. I gave him the recommended dose an hour before we left and made it to our destination with so much ease! He usually sits in the backseat and loudly pants the entire drive but he was cool and even laid down! Sweet guy. He did not seem out of it but really just more chilled out than ever before. No bad stomach reactions either. He ate the treats like his normal treats so it seems like they have a good taste as well. 10/10 recommend!!
I have a 1year old Weimer Reiner Vizsla mix and let’s say she is my velcro dog. I have been on the hunt for something natural that will help her anxiety ways when she is away from me or my other pup. These seemed to do nothing for her she is 50lbs. I did slowly start giving them to her to make sure she did not get sick. When finally given the full amount for her size she still was my anxious pup. So I will be on the hunt still good luck to you and your fur babies.
Do they calm our crazy 12-year-old lab with the energy of a 2-year-old? There was a change, but it was minimal. After testing for a few days it does seem like he calms down a bit, but honestly, not remotely as much as we hoped. Especially considering that larger dogs need 6+ treats in a single dose. At 120 treats for $25 that's about .21 cents a treat or about $1.25+ for a 75+ pound dog. To be fair to these treats, we have been struggling to find ANY "calming" treat that works and we are starting to think no calming supplement or treat will really work. Even so, we had higher hopes for these. So no, we don't recommend them. I was going to give 3 stars but decided on 4 since it's hard to know if our dog is just abnormal or the treats don't work well.
My dog is a silver lab. 65+lbs I give him 3 chews in the morning and 2 in the evening. He is more calm! Content with just chewing on his bone. He doesnt jump all over the second someone gets up to leave the room. Definitely Helps with his separation anxiety!
We have a new rescue and she’s been a little anxious around bedtime. A few of these a couple hours before bedtime have helped her relax and get some sleep. I wish there was an option without animal plasma, hopefully they’ll come out with one soon!
Solid Gold Calming Dog Treats have been a game-changer for my anxious pup. As a dog owner, it's always a challenge to find effective ways to soothe nervous or anxious behavior, and these treats have proven to be a fantastic solution. In terms of effectiveness, I've seen a noticeable improvement in my dog's anxiety levels since incorporating these treats into his daily routine. Whether it's a thunderstorm, a visit to the vet, or separation anxiety, these treats help take the edge off his stress and promote a sense of calm. They're particularly handy for training sessions when I want my dog to be focused and receptive. Furthermore, my dog absolutely loves the taste of these treats. The fact that he eagerly takes them as a reward makes training sessions more enjoyable for both of us.
My furbaby has had anxiety - especially separation anxiety since I rescued her as a puppy. It's so bad that I bring her to my Mom's even when I am just running to the grocery store. have tried countless remedies/products to help with her anxiety & only a few products have worked and continued working. Solid Gold's Keep Calm & Wag On is one of the few products that really eases my baby's anxiety. I only give it to her when I have somewhere to go or we are taking a long car trip because she's fine otherwise when I'm with her. It relaxes her just enough that she's not panting like crazy nor is she crying for longer than a minute or two when I leave the house. I love that it doesn't make her dopey or not herself.
I have two dogs at home - Nena and mocha. For Nena it definitely did the job for Mocha it was a hit or miss. Nena is about 7 years old so she's already a more calm dog to begin with but I will say this helped with separation anxiety. Mocha is a 9 months old - a wild puppy to say the least. We've had a couple stomach problems with her so the chews didn't sit well with her to begin with. After getting used to them I will say they worked but alot less then it worked on nena. Mocha is also bigger though. Overall the product itself does work!
Ordered the Solid Gold Calming chews for the July 4th holiday. As we all know that is one of those crazy times of the year with non-stop fireworks and fire crackers popping all around. I started giving my pups one of the calms with their food a couple of days prior to the holiday and felt like the product did a good job at keeping my pups relatively calm during all the fireworks. I now give them the calms before big storms and/or hurricanes.
I have a labradoodle that is full of energy after a ten mile run. He is highly motivated by food, so these have been a great treat to get him to go to sleep at night. I usually give him 2-3, but this container lasts a while. Love that they are shaped like bones! Such a wonderful company i will continue to support. I really like their multivitamins and grass burn supplements as well.
