Shredded Style a Hit and Miss

We have 7 pretty picky kitties, so we didn't know what to suspect with this food. This is a shredded chicken style in more of a juice than a thicker gravy. We tried

We have 7 pretty picky kitties, so we didn't know what to suspect with this food. This is a shredded chicken style in more of a juice than a thicker gravy. We tried it on all of them with great success on two, mixed reviews on two others, and "no thank you" on three. We really appreciate the ingredients being mostly white breast chicken and vitamins and minerals without a lot of other stuff thrown in as filler. This food is formulated as a complete meal for an adult cat, unlike many in this style that are merely supplemental or to be used as toppers (though certainly this could be added to entice some cats to eat.) The juice also helps benefit our cats' hydration. This seems like a very good choice for kitties that aren't stuck on pate or a thicker gravy style of food. I think the price for this quality is warrented in my opinion.

I was happy when I saw that the Soulistic cat food line and Good Karma was available on Chewy. I do consider it one of the better cat foods. Before I knew of only

I was happy when I saw that the Soulistic cat food line and Good Karma was available on Chewy. I do consider it one of the better cat foods. Before I knew of only one place online where I could get it, so I didn't get it often. Since I do most of our cat food shopping on Chewy, it's nice that this line was added to my choices. For the most part, I really like the Soulistic line of cat foods, although there are many I would buy if they didn't contain tuna, an ingredient I don't feed my cats (or myself). Mainly this food is just chicken and vitamins, with a few other ingredients, and not a lot of other ingredients I don't want to see in my cat's food. I like that they contain less phosphorus than some other brands. I look for that when I shop so I could feed it to my cats who have kidney disease, if they would only eat it. So far only the others are eating it, but then kidney disease kitties can be very fussy about what they will eat. When you open the can it is a very pretty food, nice shredded pieces of chicken swimming in a juice. It smells like chicken too. The attached photo shows my cat eating the Good Karma Chicken and not coming up for air, lol! I think if I were a cat, I'd eat it!

I’m sure some cats might like it. If they like chunks of stringy chicken in gravy. My 2 adult cats did not, they wouldn’t even give it a chance, just looked at it and walked away. I even tried mixing a bit in with their dry food, nope, would not even eat their kibble with this in it. In their defense though, I have tried a lot of canned food and they turned their noses up at all of them, They like the dried hard kibble type. If your cats like canned food, which I believe is healthier for them, they might like this. My daughter’s dog loved it!!

Healthy canned food that cats can’t resist!

My three cats, ages 14, 12, and 7 have been eating dry cat food unless then have medicine to take. I usually avoid canned due to the smell. Chewy gave me choices

My three cats, ages 14, 12, and 7 have been eating dry cat food unless then have medicine to take. I usually avoid canned due to the smell. Chewy gave me choices to try, and I chose Soulistic Good Karma Chicken Dinner in Gravy. I must admit that it crossed my mind to give it to my neighbor to try on her cats! Upon opening the first can, all three cats came running and couldn’t wait to be served! I know have a tool to get them in crates for the vet! They LOVE it and my concern of smell is a non issue. It also did not upset their digestive systems which are used to dry food. I plan on adding a subscription and use to supplement the food they currently eat. I cannot deny them something they love so much.

I was so excited to try this food as I wanted to give my 15 yr old cat a better quality diet. The first two ingredients sounded not only more natural but akin to a good chicken soup. How could he resist? Unfortunately, my cat sniffed it and walked away. I persevered with offering him this, hoping he might grow to like it but sadly the closest he got to it was the occasional lick of its broth. We are back to the search for the perfect food, ie healthy ingredients and taste he can’t resist.
