Real looking food with plenty of broth

The Soulistic Originals Island Illusion Salmon & Tuna Dinner packets arrived in a well-designed box, which when opened, became a convenient storage box for the packets. I was curious to see if my two outdoor TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) cats preferred it over the food they have been eating, so I put out two bowls of the Soulistic Salmon & Tuna Dinner alongside a bowl of their usual fish flavored food. They smelled all three bowls and immediately went to work on the Soulistic Salmon & Tuna Dinner, licking the bowls clean. It was not a one-time occurrence, as they continued to favor the food over the next few days. The food looks like “real” food with flakes and small chunks of fish. It also has plenty of broth which was a big plus with them. However, my indoor cat was not at all interested in the food. She is finicky and likes seafood flavors one week and not the next. She usually eats pate-style canned cat food, so the different texture likely put her off. If your feline family members favor seafood with flakes and plenty of broth, I believe they will love it.

I was a little hesitant about trying another food with my cats, but this one went over pretty well. Three out of four cats ate all of it, and one in particular seemed to LOVE it. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the packaging makes it a little hard to get out of the pouch. Juice came oozing out the top when I opened it and all the chunks stayed at the bottom, even though I tried to kind of "shake it up" first. A different type of packaging might be easier to deal with.

My cat can be a bit picky, but he scarfed this down pretty quickly, which is always a good sign. The texture seemed fresh, and the ingredients list is pretty straightforward—nothing too weird or artificial-sounding. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that the portion size was a bit too large for a single serving. He doesn’t like to eat cold food, so part of it goes to waste. I wish it came in a smaller size. Otherwise, great product, and my cat definitely approves!

I've been curious about this brand because of the limited and high quality ingredients, and was excited to try them out. Looking at the contents, the ingredients appear plentiful, with lots of tuna and salmon mixed in, and it doesn't stink like fish or anything else too much, which has been a problem for me with other fish based products. It's definitely a quality pet food product. I fed this to my cat and my small dog, and they both loved it. They liked having it mixed in with their dry food to add some extra moisture and excitement to their meals. I would definitely buy this product again, but I don't understand why pumpkin and other non-meat products are included in cat food when they are obligate carnivores. In my mind, this is a great choice for dog food, and if your cat likes pumpkin in their food, it's a great choice for you, too. It's just up to preference.

I’ve tried so many cat foods over the years, but this fish-flavored one instantly became a favorite in my house. Both of my cats went absolutely wild for it—they could smell it as soon as I opened the bag and were meowing non-stop until I served it! Even my picky eater dove right in and finished her bowl. I love that the ingredients are high-quality, with real fish as the first ingredient. No weird by-products or fillers, just food that smells fresh and wholesome. It’s clear this isn’t just tasty—it’s made with care. Since switching to this, I’ve noticed both cats have shinier coats, more energy, and even their digestion seems better (litter box is way less smelly!). If your cats love fish, this one is a must-try. Mine are hooked!

As soon as I tore the pouch open, I had curious cats looking to try a sample. They really seemed to enjoy it! My only concern was the pouch was difficulty to empty completely, but I grabbed a little spatula from the drawer and that seemed to do the trick. These pouches are great for when I am on the go with kitties, but the cans are a bit easier when it comes to meal time! That said, both my cats and I recommend this product to others.

They all loved this right away. I ordered it because it said 'in a soup', and I was looking for something with liquid for an old timer with no teeth. He went right for it, and was able to eat the meat chunks too, since they were soft and easy to chew. It was a good mix of the pumpkin broth and meat chunks. I next tried it on a finicky old girl, and she never came up for air till it was gone. All the kitties I tried it on thought it was great! I wasn't sure if they would be liking the pumpkin, so I was a bit hesitant to try it, but their reaction to it confirmed I made the right choice!
