How long is the shelf life of this product once opened?

The shelf life for SOURCE products is certainly several years, as long as it is properly stored. It should stay tightly sealed and away from excessive heat. Fortunately, SOURCE products do not “spoil” or become rancid or attract insects. The natural ingredients in SOURCE do not oxidize and degrade as many vitamin/mineral supplements do. They have tested SOURCE /FOCUS products that were 3+ years old and did not see any loss in effectiveness. It is expected some of the naturally occurring vitamins to lose potency over time. Unlike human supplements, animal supplements do not require an expiration date but do require a code lot# for traceability. The bottom of each container will have a stamped code lot#.
