How many cats will this hold comfortably for 8 hr trip?

The Car Seat Pet Crate can comfortably fit 2 cats along with a litter box and bed. If no litter box is available, it should be able to fit in 1 or 2 more cats. Adding more than 2 cats will create a cramped space that may not be comfortable for a long car trip.

It looks like there is a divider inside this carrier. Is it one long piece?

The carrier is one long piece, but there is no divider. The zipper in the middle is to make the carrier foldable.

This carrier does not appear to have any padding on the bottom for comfort, is that right?

Wanted a foldable crate that we could buckle our two 9 lb cats into while we road trip. This fit the bill. Nothing special about it other than it seems to be the only thing of its kind on the market. Biggest complaint is that the doors are on the ends, which makes it difficult to load our cats in with the back door closed. If the manufacturer were to redesign a door on the top (ceiling) would be much more practical. Finally, it doesn’t have any padding on the floor. I assume that’s why it’s so easy to fold up but it does required that we pack it with blankets for our kitties’ comfort. Despite the design flaws I would recommend for cat / small dog parents who road trip.

This was perfect for taking my cats home with me for Christmas! It fit both of my cats (13 and 15 lbs) comfortably with space for them to move around and have a litter box. Very sturdy; my boy cat who was incredibly unhappy and wanted out wasn’t able to do any damage. The mesh window let me check on them with my rear view mirror. It buckled in and secured easily and did not move during travel

This is exactly what I thought it would be. It may take a few trips for our pups to get use to it and I must admit I miss their snuggles and kisses. We travel quite a bit these days and I feel this is much safer for all of us. It is easy to pop up and attach to the head rest in the back seat. It is just as easy to break down and store. I see many miles in the future.

We used this crate to transport two cats and one kitten halfway across the country and I am so glad we did. The crate fit nicely across the entire back set, door to door. We were able to fit a small litterbox inside on one end, a couple of blankets on the other, and the cats had enough room to stand up and walk around a little. Much better for long travel days than the carriers we use for vet appointments. The three cats could cuddle up and feel more secure together or spread out just a bit. The only drawbacks were that I wish it was just a couple of inches wider and taller for a roomier space, and that there was a door in the center so that we could open and transfer cats into the smaller carriers for going in and out of hotels without needing to open the car door. There was not enough space between the car door and the crate door to open the crate without opening the door. We drive a Mazda CX5 for size reference. The crate folds up small for storing, the mesh is strong to prevent chewing through, and the straps kept it secured against the seat back. Overall we are very pleased at how well this crate worked for our cats.

New puppy comfort

I had to drive alone over 5 hours each way to pick up and take home my new 8-week old puppy. I was really stressed about the pup’s comfort and safety on the way home. This portable crate was perfect to keep her contained safely while giving her enough room to move around on the long car ride. I did also get a hammock-style seat protector to place the crate on, for extra stability now, and to use with a car seat when she’s bigger. The other reason I got this portable crate is because I live in the hurricane zone. If we have to evacuate she’ll be more comfortable, and I’ll be able to transport, this crate more easily than a traditional pet carrier.

Easy Travel

I used this in a wagon and the car to move the kitties, and now I use it to bring them to the vet together. Makes multi-cat travel much simpler!

Very well constructed

We just traveled 1100 miles with 3 cats, one 12 lb and 2 @six lbs. Roomy enough for them, plus a litter box.
