Works On Our Stubborn Dog

We needed to find a way to prevent our stubborn dog from destroying our fence ever since a new dog moved in next door. I came across the SportDOG FieldTrainer 425XS

We needed to find a way to prevent our stubborn dog from destroying our fence ever since a new dog moved in next door. I came across the SportDOG FieldTrainer 425XS Waterproof Stubborn Dog collar and decided to give it a try. The remote is small and comfortable in my hand, though I find the settings a bit more challenging to use than most other e-collars I have used in the past. You can customize the remote to your preferences, and there is a chart in the manual to guide you through the process. I will say that the shock on this collar is effective and has discouraged my dog from many of her bad habits.

I have this same model for my 10 year old Gsd. The collar is still going strong after 9 years of daily use- only update I had to get was another set of prongs when I lost the one. My fault not the product’s fault. we just purchased this same collar for our younger dog based on how well the first one held up. The collar is easy to learn and navigate. Waterproof which is a plus since our dogs love to swim and don’t seem uncomfortable to our dogs. Love sport dog brand training collars.

This is the second Sportdog FieldTrainer collar that I have purchased. The first one lasted several years and began to have limited battery capacity. I was happy to see that the collar and remote remained mostly unchanged. My pup loves being able to run and I love the added reinforcement to keep her safe.

Watched several You Tubes on it, read the booklets twice, my brother tried working with me on it and spent close to a whole weekend on it trying to figure it out. After complaining, customer service said we can send a replacement or you talk to us to try to get you walked through the steps. I said I spent enough time trying to figure it out; I want my money back. He said he would let them know but haven’t heard anything back in 6 days. They don’t back their product. I threw away $178.
