All the Benefits of
Raw Nutrition
Give your stealthy carnivore all the meat she can dream of with Stella & Chewy's Freeze-Dried Raw Dinner Morsels. For pet parents that don't have time to prepare fresh raw foods or to wait for frozen food to thaw, freeze-dried is the best answer. These bite-size nuggets give kitties a feast of meat, organ and bones just like their wildcat ancestors. And to meet all of their nutritional needs, these recipes are formulated with added vitamins and minerals, probiotics and taurine.
The Prey Model Diet
It's only natural that your cat craves real meat—her body is designed to eat a diet that relies heavily on it. Stella & Chewy's makes it easy to feed your domesticated feline friend this prey model diet. Each recipe has 98% meat, nutrient-rich organs and bone, and there are no added hormones or antibiotics. All you have to do is rehydrate and serve. In just one minute, you'll have a wholesome, protein-rich dinner for your hungry tiger. As a bonus, she gets more water in her diet to keep her hydrated to support urinary tract health.
Raw Feeding Helps:

Minimal Processing,
Maximum Flavor
Heavy processing of ingredients can diminish the nutritional value. But with freeze-dried, the end product still retains its beneficial nutrients. Frozen raw nuggets go into a freeze-dryer to remove moisture without ever applying heat or letting them thaw. So they come out with all the flavor, vitamins, minerals, omegas and amino acids they went in with. Plus, you'll never have to keep it in the freezer or defrost it.

Innovative Food
Safety Technology
Food safety is always a concern, especially with raw foods. Stella & Chewy's takes every precaution with their SecureByNature food safety process that's recognized by the USDA and FDA. The ingredients undergo a special, 100% natural cold-press process that creates water pressure similar to that found near the ocean's floor. No harmful bacteria can survive, and there's no heat to damage nutrients and diminish flavor. Each batch is tested by an independent lab, and the results are even posted online for you to see.
Ethically Sourced Ingredients
Stella & Chewy's sources everything that goes into your pet's food from reputable suppliers that guarantee the integrity of the ingredients. Meat, poultry and fish are responsibly sourced from all over the world. The wholesome fruit and vegetables are certified organic, and nothing comes from China.

About Stella & Chewy's
The story of Stella & Chewy's starts with two lucky rescue dogs named Stella and Chewy—and Chewy was a pretty sick pup. Their new pet parent, Marie Moody, started both of her new family members on a raw diet, and she watched them thrive. Eager to bring the same amazing prey model diet to other pets, Marie soon developed innovative food safety measures to create her own version of raw pet food—the Stella & Chewy's frozen and freeze-dried dinners and mixers that you know and love.

Very Good Cat Food!
By allblond737 on Jan 13, 2021
It took a while to get my cats used to eating this food because it is bigger and not crunchy. But now that they have transitioned to it I believe they are healthier, softer fur and slowly they are loosing extra weight caused by too high a carb content in the food they used to eat.

Some it works for others it does not
By Dwarf on Nov 3, 2020
I got this hoping it would appeal to some elderly cats. Two it made sick to their stomach. The other old cat that has feline stomatitis is doing great on the food. I slowly transitioned all three cats from Friskies canned food to Stellan & Chewy's. I believe that the two it made sick probably just have digestion issues that changing their diet at all upsets them.

Use Warm Water to Soften, 2 out of 3 Cats Approve
By MLev on Dec 13, 2020
The pellets are hard. I had more luck soaking them in warm water than cold, but I still had to use a fork to break down the pellets after soaking them. 2 cats were enthusiastic about this new addition to their food, 1 cat was hesitant and turned up her nose at first but would eventually eat it when she got hungry. I love that the food is raw and has simple ingredients. I just wish the pellets softened better and the food was less expensive.

He is so hongree
By Duke on Dec 19, 2020
My Duke has been eating this for a few months. He NEVER leaves a crumb. He only has his k9 teeth so I was concerned the kibble would be too big but he will eat it dry for a snack with no problem. When I make him a bowl I crush it easily with my fingers before I put the water in.

Too Large for Cats
By Rescue on Dec 1, 2020
I bought this and a couple of the turkey ones for my rescue cats and they are actually quite large, and then, even after putting a lot of water on them, they were still really hard. The cats wanted to eat them, but struggled to and ended up giving up and walking away. It's too bad, because I tried a different freeze dried food a couple years ago and they loved it! I even tried to cut them up and I couldn't do it. I can't imagine their little mouths trying to chew it!

LOVE LOVE LOVE
By Ashh on Oct 28, 2020
My Ferret loves this stuff, she will eat nothing else. It's super simple to make for her, and her smell is pretty much non-existent. One down side is that she loves it so much the kibble she was eating before (Wysong) she will no longer eat and if I try to mix it with this she picks it out, or refuses to eat.

Poor size and texture
By Lane on Dec 10, 2020
Previous bags of this item.... I’d give a 5/5. This time the morsels are very large. Looks like a size for dogs. The texture is also unlike other freeze-dried foods, is very hard and not airy and crumbly. Hoping this is an “off” batch because I love the ingredients and previous bags my cat loved as treats.

Unique treat!
By Tara on Nov 15, 2020
My boy loves these nuggets as they are! Directions say you can add water to make a meal but Murph likes them straight out of the bag. We have only tried the chicken one as his diet consists of one meat foods and Stella’s chicken is chicken only.

Great option for raw diets!
By Bengalgirl on Nov 7, 2020
I’ve tried numerous times to transition my cats to a raw diet because I think it’s so much healthier. Not only did my cats not endorse that change but it was also difficult to do when I frequently had cat sitters. I have two 1 year old kittens and have started them on this freeze dried food. So far, one loves it, the other not quite so much but I will continue with it. It’s easy although I would appreciate better food/water ratio guidelines for soaking the freeze dried pellets. It’s also very expensive to have as the only food so supplement it with canned and dry.
