Stella & Chewy's Duck Duck Goose Patties Frozen Raw Dog Food, 12-lb bag

I used Stella & Chewy’s Duck, Duck, Goose Patties as a topper for my dog's regular kibble, even though the product is labeled as a complete meal. Since my dog is large, he would have needed the entire package to serve as a full meal. I was also concerned that an abrupt change in his diet could upset his stomach, so I decided to use it as a topper instead. The patties are frozen and need to be thawed before serving, so it's important to take them out of the freezer the night before. I found that they took longer to completely thaw than the package indicated. Once thawed, I used a fork to break up the patties and sprinkle them over my dog's kibble. While the patties had an unappealing, grayish color, my dog could smell them as soon as I opened the container, and he eagerly watched me as I prepared his meal. He seemed to enjoy it, finishing everything in his bowl and wagging his tail with excitement when I moved from the preparation area to his feeding spot. I didn't notice any adverse effects on his digestion, and his stool remained normal. Overall, I appreciate that the product is raw and, in my opinion, healthier than traditional wet dog foods. My dog liked it as well. However, due to the thawing step, I rated it one star lower for convenience. Despite its appearance raising some initial concerns, I felt that it was a quality product. I would purchase again as a topper.
