I usually use Instinct raw food toppers, but one of my cats is 14 and has become very picky so I thought I would try this since she loves Stella and Chewy's Salmon and Chicken raw food. Not one of my six cats liked this topper. They still ate the kibble in their bowls, but left a lot of powder on the bottoms. They lick the bowls clean when there's Instinct raw in their food.
This product got my cat to eat a little more of his food, but not as much as I would have liked. I feel like I'd have to use A LOT to get it to work better. I've had better luck crushing Greenies into a powder as a topper instead. This product is worth a try, but perhaps don't expect miracles.
My kitties can get kinda bored of their pate/ chunks in gravy, but with this topper they get super excited about it! It definitely smells like fish food, but they love it.
My cat was recently prescribed a kidney diet and would not eat the new food after a month long transition. She would pick around it or not eat at all. I topped the new food with this and she began eating like she'd never had anything better in her life. I'm so glad she's finally eating and this is what helped. I will definitely keep the stocked.
All of my cats LOVE this! With 17, that is almost unheard of! I've noticed a big improvement in coats since starting this, soft and shiny! I highly recommend!
None of my 3 cats will eat this. Tried for a sickly senior cat and this doesn’t help him. The other 2 cats won’t touch it.
I was really really hoping this would just make my cat go wild but it didn't really. The first time I gave it to him he sniffed and walked away. So I left the house for a bit and left some food with the dust sprinkled on it and then also a small bowl with just a tiny bit of the dust. When I came back he did eat all the plain dust and some of the food. Later I kept bringing him over to his bowl with it on top, and he wasn't overly excited. We took a break over night from it (Just wanted to make sure it wouldn't make him vomit or have diarrhea ) and today I put it on his dry food again. He seems ok with it... He does take an appetite stimulant about 1x per week due to his IBD makes him not hungry. I think I'll just keep it in the pantry to pull out for special occasions or situations where he needs a change? Overall tho it totally smells like something cats would go nuts for.....!
This has made such a different for two of my three cats. A tiny bit on their canned food that they weren't that interested in and now it is so yummy~! Stella and Chewy's products are fantastic but this is the best in my opinion.
My dogs usually will NOT eat any dry food unless it has toppings. This magical dinner dust certainly did the trick!
I started using the Magical Dinner Dust with salmon and chicken so I could stop wasting cat food. Previously, I would give my cats their canned food and they would walk away and ignore it until was inedible. No matter what food I tried, they would frequently completely ignore it until it was inedible. Once I started sprinkling this on top of their food they started actually eating their dinner. Now I have little monsters that won’t eat even their favorite foods without a sprinkling of their magical dust. Oh, well, as long as they eat and I’m not constantly wasting money on food I’m throwing away.
