Did Not Work Out for Us/Wanted to Like It

I started feeding this food to our two big dogs and everything was ok for the first week or so. Because a large bag of food lasts about 14 days between them, I went

I started feeding this food to our two big dogs and everything was ok for the first week or so. Because a large bag of food lasts about 14 days between them, I went ahead and ordered a second bag but in the red meat formula to start once this was gone. Right around the 14 day mark, our mixed breed dog had the absolute worst allergic reaction to this food, with excessive shedding to the point where she looked like she lost 5 lbs due to hair loss, excessive panting at rest, and constant biting/scratching at her body. Once the second bag arrived, I kept our Boxer on it but then she developed issues such as excessive scratching and biting at her body, and itchy irritated ears to the point that they bled from her nails scratching at them. I stopped feeding the food immediately and, although my dogs seem better, it still took about a week for their symptoms to completely subside. It isn't uncommon for our mixed breed dog to be sensitive to a food, but our Boxer on the other hand can typically tolerate any high quality food. That just wasn't the case with this food, and I suspect it may have been the peas but I haven't 100% narrowed it down yet. Chewy was great and took care of me as far as this situation goes. I will continue to shop at chewy because their customer service has been superb whenever I've had an issue with a food/allergy issue. However, I can't recommend this food due to my experience with it involving two of my dogs.

Wholesome and Nutritious

The first thing my dogs and I noticed when the bag was opened was the food contains a lot of the "good stuff." I keep out a bowl of Stella and Chewy's Raw Blend for them to eat or snack as wanted. They had to try this right away, haha. This makes me happy because their between meal munching is healthy. This food is 31% protein and No grain. I also like the size of the kibble. I have Bingo who is a medium guy and Beaux who is a big boy! this is the right size for them both, I feel good knowing that I am feeding them closer to their ancestor's diet. Let me add that the bag is easy open and close. It is not a paper bag but made to be durable and ensure that the food stays fresh.

Another great product from Chewy!

I decided to try “Stella & Chewy’s Only The Good Stuff” dog food. They have a lot of varieties and I chose the Raw Blend Free Range Recipe of Goat, Lamb and Elk

I decided to try “Stella & Chewy’s Only The Good Stuff” dog food. They have a lot of varieties and I chose the Raw Blend Free Range Recipe of Goat, Lamb and Elk. It has small crunchy pieces that are freeze dried and raw coated and bigger, soft pieces of freeze dried raw. It’s grain free, doesn’t require refrigeration, it has fruit, veggies and other clean and beneficial ingredients. It is USA sourced and made and where my dog is concerned, that is very important to me. I’m using this food as a special treat and the smaller pieces even fit inside her interactive puzzle game. She LOVES it and her stomach and bowels have had no issues with it. I attached a video of her enjoying it and a picture of the bag. I also took a picture for size context because I think even small dogs could easily eat this.

My dog absolutely loves this food! During the transition when introducing new food, she would pick the new food and leave her old food untouched, so I had to give up with slow transitioning. I love the ingredients-stating proteins and following by fruits, berries, seeds , herbs, and veggies. Kibbles are perfect size-not too small, not too large. Food comes in a receivable bag which helps to keep it fresh.

My dog absolutely loved this food! It was a lovely mix of dry kibble and freeze dried pieces. It contains smaller kibble which some dogs might " inhale" quicker

My dog absolutely loved this food! It was a lovely mix of dry kibble and freeze dried pieces. It contains smaller kibble which some dogs might " inhale" quicker than others, however my dog loves to ingest food quickly! The freeze dried pieces are hit and miss, not as many as the harder small sized kibble but either way, both are delicious to my dog. The cost per pound is a lot but a nice treat once in a while for my pup.
