Wild Red Health Benefits
Arrived on time. Better than what I was expecting. My picky eater dog lives this food.
This is by far my two dogs favorite food. We love the quality and size of the dog food as it makes it work great in their automatic feeders since the pieces are about the size of peas. It also works great for puzzle feeders and such as well. Love that there are different flavor options, including with and without poultry and with and without grains. We also love that almost every flavor has a 1 pound bag option to make trying different flavors easier and less expensive if they don’t like it. Have it on auto ship and plan to keep it that way. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a high quality kibble!
My 16yr old Pom loves these but will only eat them when mixed in with other food.
I have three dogs and was excited to try this dry kibble food. I ordered a large bag as my dogs all love the freeze dried raw dinner patties. I have an 11 year old newfie mix, a 6 year old bichon terrier mix and a 16 year old blind toy poodle bichon mix. Not any one of them showed interest at all. I am trying different foods to keep 16 year old interested in eating. This food is very expensive even with 40% off. Don't waste your money. I bought a big bag with high hopes and I am extremely disappointed. I will have to continue to sneak it in with their regular dry kibble (different brand) until it is gone. I was truly expecting different results. This is my first ever review. I believe that says something. I am not normally a complainer.
We are transitioning her kibble when what we were using changed the recipe. I ordered this and the changed recipe. She couldn’t eat it since it’s not small kibble. Thanks to Chewy we’ve been donating quite a bit to shelters. We plan to try and continue with this kibble for now.
Decided to try this as a test, but it didn't sit well with my babies. They ended up with diarrhea and it wasn't even a lot that they tried (i used it sort of like a treat/reward just to see if they would like it cuz one of them is super picky) , they had less than 20 kibbles each. Did they love the flavor? Yes. Gobbled it right up. Did their stomach like it? Nope. My two have been exposed to many different types of treats and before I figured out what food they are willing to eat, they have tried many dry foods without much intestinal dilemma. The kibble they have currently (blue wilderness) is topped with stella and chewys food topper, so I'm not sure what's not sitting well with them? I was hoping i could just buy this one bag already pre-mixed and don't have to buy 2 separate things, but didn't seem to be the case.
I tried this because it was similar to the Red “Raw Blend” red meat recipe. I even thought they’d like the raw coated better than grain free red raw blend, but I was wrong. The only way I can get them to eat it is with wet food topper or shredded chicken topper. Now that the grain free version is available, we are going back. I can still recommend it but be careful if your dog is used to grain free red meat food.
Love the ingredients and my dogs loved the previous version that suddenly became unavailable. My picky eater isn’t a fan of this version, nor is the other schnauzer, but he’ll eat it when mixed with a topper. My older schnauzer was vomiting when we first tried this and I think it was the hamburger topper I was making for them because he has puked since I switched to shredded chicken topper.
I'm sure this is a great food, but my three dogs will not eat it. My heeler actually dumps his bowl and tries to bury the food in the carpet.
Best food ever. My boxer loves Stella and chewy products and they’re healthy too
