Top choice after trying two different types

I bought two suit types for a spay/pexy recovery. This quickly became the suit we used with the second a backup while this one was washed. At first I was thinking what's up with the high neck? And that was answered quickly. It prevented the suit from stretching at the neck and sliding over the shoulder area. It stayed in place so much better than the other. The material is nice and thick. It offered abdominal support but wasn't overly tight. My girl didn't seem bothered at all by the higher neck either. The inside pocket worked great when we put some surgical pads inside and one day she had a little bleeding. The blue color of the pocket made it easy to check for any bleeding. But most importantly our dog didn't mind wearing it at all. She seemed to really prefer it and the support it offered because the incision was pretty large from having both the spay and gastropexy done. Having used two different brands, this is my go to for any need in the future. I did wash it on delicate/cold and hung dry every couple of days. It held up great with that.

This is a great post surgery/injury suit. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is that it doesn't have an optional cut-out area for male dogs so that they can pee without having to unsnap the suit. Our doodle is quick and smart, and he will get at his stitches and rip them out super fast if the site is bared for even a few minutes. Having an optional cut out for his penis would make it so much easier to use because we wouldn't have to bare his flank when he needs to urinate. But otherwise, this is a great suit, fits well, washes easily, and appears to be comfortable (since he really doesn't mind when we put it on him)

Her measurement was right at the beginning of this size so I was fearful it would fit The previous size would be too small.. should have ordered XL Easy to put on.

I wanted to love it and based on the instructions and subsequent measurements I bought an XL. Fit around the chest fine but wayyyyyy too long and wasn’t able to use it as it’s supposed to bc it kept tripping her. It also stretched out a lot and therefore didn’t work for her at all. :-(

Did Its Job

We bought a size XXS for our 16lb chiweenie with a 14in back. The fabric was very stiff and not stretchy upon receiving the shirt, but loosened up after the first wash (washed on cold in a wash bag on delicate, tumble dried on low heat). The neck stayed tighter and caused skin to roll up on our dog. I would have returned the XXS and sized up to a XS if we wouldn't have needed the shirt immediately. Overall, it worked fantastic for our dog after his neuter surgery when combined with a Kong Cloud Collar. We washed the Suitical about 5 times over the course of a 10 day wear and it held up fine to normal machine washing and tumble drying.

We got the size M for our 45 lb staffy after his SECOND bowel obstruction of the year. The suit was a nice break from the cone. The fabric is comfortable and the snaps are well located. Unfortunately he did chew a piece off one night . . . which is one hundred percent a flaw in my dog not the product. Would definitely purchase again!
Best Thing Since Sliced Bread!

My large, VERY “active” dog is a chewer. She also can get into more trouble than you can shake a stick at. I knew after being spayed she’d easily find a way around an ecollar - hard, soft, or inflatable. And I was sure she’d never fit in her training crate with one on. So I tried this recovery suit. It fits great, and is very breathable. It rolls up and snaps to make bathroom trips outside convenient. She actually looks like a surfer girl in it! She has had some skin allergies previously, and I think it’s helped deter her from biting or licking those itchy spots as well. Best purchase I’ve made for her in a while!

This suit fit my Shephard/Lab mix and helped to keep her out of a nasty "cone". She had stitches on her underbelly. The flaps in the back gave me piece of mind that she wouldn't lick/scratch at them. But I still had to watch her. Seemed to help do the trick. I did have to wash it everyday, but it's held up in the washer and dryer well. To go potty, we just rolled it up a bit and fastened a couple of the snaps from the back flaps to each other on the top, tucked in the other flaps to the rolled part and we were all set.
