Can I use this without installing and it stand upright alone?

This Gate does not require hardware mounting. It can be pressure mounted with no drilling necessary. When purchased, it will come with a set of instructions on how to install.

I need this for an out door deck to prevent my two small dogs from going down the steps. How is this installed? Does it screw onto the siding on the house or on pvc railing?

This gate can be installed in doorways or at the top or bottom of stairs using the secure hardware installation system.

Do you have to use the pad at the bottom? I’m afraid our puppy will be able to go under

The foot is adjustable and cannot be removed. It is needed for the functionality of the gate. The gap is only about 2 inches from where the foot goes from the floor to the bottom of the gate. It will be difficult for a pup or kitten to crawl underneath the gap.

Where is the latch located to open the door? Is it the lever in the middle of the gate? Asking because it may be too low to reach for my non.

The gate arrived quickly and was easy to install.

jUST REMEMBER to follow the directions and have the arrow going the right way. If you have trouble completing the last step you probably have it upside down. and

Cheaply made gate

This is the worst product I have ever bought from Chewy. It is a very cheaply made and flimsy. The latch is impossible to lock into place and just had to stop trying

The latch is impossible to lock into place and just had to stop trying to do it because I thought it was going to break, so this rendered it pretty much useless. Very negative. Would have given it no stars if I could have.

Not walk through if pressure-mounted

You can pressure mount but if you do, you can’t open/close the gate to walk through. Or, you can drill the sides in and then use the gate as a walk through gate

Easy to climb

I'm sure this gate works well for a lot of dogs, but my 12lb 4 month old puppy figured out how to climb this gate in less than a day.

Outside gate

I have 6 small dogs, there’s two sets of steps to enter our deck so I want my fur babies to be safe. I wanted something easy to let all the little ones up or down
