LED will not respond on my Sunbeam sound machine when turned to TEST. It has a new battery that is warm to touch when removed. I made sure the battery is installed properly and the battery door is closed. Do you have any other suggestions?
Will this work while I’m gone?

The ultrasonic sound is emitted provided the dog is barking. Once the dog stops barking the Sunbeam® Sonic Egg also will cease emitting the ultrasonic sound.
Optimal performance will be achieved when there are no obstructions between the Sunbeam® Sonic Egg™ and the area where the dog will be barking.
Can cats also hear this noise from the devise?

As long as your cat is not within a foot of the speaker, they will not be affected at all.
Will this work through a wood fence?

The Sunbeam Sonic Egg Ultrasonic Bark Control Device detects barking up to 50 feet away and will work through a wood fence. It does only work on 85% of dogs because of differences in the hearing ability of dogs, and other factors such as age and temperament, not all dogs will react the same to ultrasonic bark control devices.
