I was very disappointed with this product. It was vacuum sealed, which is great. It came out in long course strings of coconut fiber which I had to cut up in the little pieces and my finches would not use it at all. They wouldn’t even go back in their nest when I put it in there and the one was picking up his feet after he sat in there, so I think it was cutting him. I will not purchase this product again, and I would not recommend it

This wasn't the picturesque, clean nesting material I was imagining. It was more like a raw coconut from the bottom of the bin at the grocery store--messy, earthy, and a little musty. I ended up not being comfortable giving it to our birds, I didn't trust the moldy smell wasn't dangerous. Used hay instead.

Soft natural for my quail

My button quails kept kicking out the old nesting material, it was stiff, messy, and clearly not comfortable. I needed something soft, natural, and easy to shape

My button quails kept kicking out the old nesting material, it was stiff, messy, and clearly not comfortable. I needed something soft, natural, and easy to shape. thats when I tried this coconut fiber nesting material, and what a difference! The fibers are flexible and easy to mold into a cozy, secure nest. My quails settled in right away & even started laying eggs comfortably. It's a great-quality product that finally gave my birds the comfort they deserve.

I couldn't figure out what it was, when I first saw it on top of the other items I'd ordered. The package looked FLAT, with just a small bit of the "coconut fiber bedding material inside. It didn't look like it would be the least bit comfortable to get on or in, so I just threw it away. That's the first time in all of the years of ordering things from Chewy that I wasn't thoroughly pleased with my purchase.
