Works a treat! But a bit long for pups with little legs

Bought for my mini dachshund and it's the perfect size for her. She has no issues wearing it or sleeping in it but she does step on it and dunk it in her water. The area that velcros together is longer than the rest and because it is heavier it rotates to the bottom. Thus, dunking and stepping. If your dog is slightly higher off the ground I would absolutely recommend it. It has definitely made her post op-recovery much more comfortable than the plastic cone would've. If she ever needs a cone again I won't hesitate to use it.

It's cute ... But no

It it cute. But is ineffective keeping my cat from licking her toes. She had a nail removed and the nail can't heal because she keeps licking it and the hair sticks to it and it hurts. I have to put topical medicine on it and she can't lick it... But the cone didn't stop her and now I'm not sure what to do to keep her from doing it.. what is a better cone?

Excellent Product

I love this cone! It's so pretty! My girl has allergies so she keeps licking her hair causing hot spots. I gave her medicine and put the cone on for the week so her hair grows back. But she is fresh. She keeps putting her paw in it and pulling it off. I tried another type of cone and she did the same thing. She's 14 1/2. I think I'll use it for the boy I need to fix. I love them! They drive me crazy but they are funny as all. I will use it for him. Tommy will need it when he is recovering. It is soft and comfortable. Hopefully he won't jump all over like he usually does when he is recouperating. I can keep him confined he hyperventilates. I fix him when I am home on vacation so I can keep an eye on him.

probably not for cats

It’s cute but oddly shaped (oblong) and unbalanced. It effectively prevents Bertie from licking her wound but also negatively impacts basic mobility. I’m assuming this was designed with dog anatomy in mind rather than cats.

Serves it's purpose for the right cat

This worked fine for my cat with a skin infection on her chin, for the first week. It was a bit too heavy to have in the upright position (cone shape) however, if I flipped it inside out it still prevented her back paw from comfortably reaching her chin. After about a week she learned how to pull it off and even managed to work her leg over, but fortunately by that time it had healed more. I would say this works better for a larger cat or at least one with a stronger neck. To the manufacturer I would say to use a thinner foam, but some sort of flexibile boning along the edges to keep it sturdy.

this worked well for our dog after his nueter the plastic cone prevented his from eating scratching moving around without bumping into walls lol just wished they came in more colors other than pink as our dog is a boy and had others that saw him say " oh she's so cute" lol nope

Alfie the Flower Boy

Our Alfie (11 lbs) recently got a subtotal colectomy and this flower cone was a perfect alternative to the big plastic one he came home with! Everyone loved this flower cone: us as his pet parents, the vets and surgeons, and most importantly, Alfie. He was able to go to the litter box comfortably with this on whereas it was extremely difficult with the plastic cone. He was also able to easily access his water fountain and food while wearing the flower cone. This was a great purchase, completely worth it, and we didn’t even have to measure his neck; it just fit perfectly. It can also easily be wiped off if anything (in our case, litter) gets stuck to it. Towards the end of his 2 weeks in his cone he was getting antsy and he did try to bite his way out of the cone but the velcro is tight enough on the flower cone that it stopped him from doing so. Thank you to this cute little invention for helping Alfie through a successful recovery!

Our cat was attacked by another cat and had a serious abscess on her shoulder. When she came home from the vet she had drainage tubes and the dreaded “cone” made of plastic. It threw off her equilibrium, made it very hard for her to eat, drink and sleep. This soft cone was awesome! She was able eat and drink and it didn’t throw off her equilibrium as her whiskers were not confined. She was able to sleep comfortably as well. She has had to wear it for 2 1/2 weeks and doesn’t seem to mind. If your pet needs to wear a cone for any period of time, I highly recommend this product!

I'm the nurse

was looking for a soft version of the cone of shame but even this small is WAY too big and will not be able to use on my young ones after surgery. more useful on dogs that overlooks the kittens and/or young cats unless you have a large breed like a Maine Coon as such.
