Rest assured that Sustainably Yours is safe if occasionally ingested in small amounts by cats or other pet friends. This litter is made from feed-grade ingredients and although it clumps very quickly and solidly, it also breaks down in the digestive system. That said, our litter is of course not intended to be eaten and anything consumed in excess can lead to indigestion, vomiting, or other issues. If a significant amount of Sustainably Yours is ingested by your pet, we recommend that you keep a close watch and in case any signs of distress or abnormal behavior are shown, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Is the large grain or the small grain better?

All are made of the same ingredients: cassava and corn. The difference between them is the size of the grains used in each formula, which impacts how they perform. Sustainably Yours Small-grain has small grains for faster clumping. Sustainably Yours Large-grain has large grains for minimal tracking. Sustainably Yours Mixed-grain offers balanced performance by combining both small and large grains.

Used to be great when it was Garfield and for a few years after that

I’ve used this litter when it was Garfield and have kept using it now that it’s SYs. Honestly, the large grain litter is so bad now that I don’t even understand

I’ve used this litter when it was Garfield and have kept using it now that it’s SYs. Honestly, the large grain litter is so bad now that I don’t even understand why they still sell it. I get so committed to and used to a product that I used to love that it can take me a long time to realize how much I hate it. So I’ve been struggling for T least 2 years to jackhammer this litter off the bottom of my cats litter boxes on a daily basis. It took my pet sitter begging me to get a different litter because her arms were staring to hurt to realize that I should actually just go e up on that one and get something else. So I did. I’ve read in various places that the small grain doesn’t do this. I’ve ordered a couple of bags of that, along with many bags of the new litter o now prefer, just in case it’s more like the SY I used to appreciate. But given how much more I like the new tofu litter I’ve started using, the small grain SY is going to have to scoop itself.

We tried the other Sustainably Yours which was like SAND with the hopes it would be better. However, it still very messy and our cats track it all over. With a multi pet household and dogs that like to eat litter (gross!) we look for options that are safe just in case they snack on litter (because they are dogs and WILL!) - but it’s just everywhere. I already vacuumed and this is a couple hours later. Can’t seem to win!

No smell NONE

Best litter I've ever used on 35 years of being a cat mom. There is zero urine smell even when I didn't scoop for a few days. The small grain clumps like concrete

Best litter I've ever used on 35 years of being a cat mom. There is zero urine smell even when I didn't scoop for a few days. The small grain clumps like concrete and doesn't stick to pan. The large grain doesn't clump.as well but I have wood floors and the small grain was like walking on sand where as the large grain was so easy to see and sweep up. Best litter ever. I just wished they carried in larger bags because this isn't cheap but it is worth paying extra for

What a pain

This litter was such a pain. It gets great marks in 2 areas: it is low dust and it does a great job masking the pee smell. But the cons stack a little too high

This litter was such a pain. It gets great marks in 2 areas: it is low dust and it does a great job masking the pee smell. But the cons stack a little too high for me. I have 2 cats and clean the litter box at least daily. However, this litter does something I’ve never experienced with any other kind: the pee goes to the bottom of the pail. What is means is that after 24 hours, the pee is hardened into the entirety of the little pail, making it incredibly difficult to dig out the cake (for lack of a better word). I am not joking when I say these pee clumps are sometimes a foot long and don’t fit in the poop bags. It does nothing to mask the scent of poop, even when buried properly. It is also a pain to clean/vacuum up after when you fling litter everywhere after trying to dig the huge pees off the bottom, or just in general when the cats track it around. We gave 3 bags a try and won’t be getting again.

I like it fine but it really isn’t any better than the other sustainable brands. I’m going back to my Worlds best litter. I have a car with chronic diarrhea so I wanted to try this because other people say it’s good for masking smells. But it didn’t do any better than other brands and I can see all the tiny pieces of cat poop in the litter that my scooper can’t get.

Cats accepted this very unique consistency but it clumps sooooo hard and cannot be broken apart in scooping. Weird consistency (tiny pellets) excellent low tracking

Sure does clump

I was not happy with this litter- the main reason is its clumping ability - while considered a pro- the con is that this litter sticks to the underside of my cat-
