Is this fragrance free?

No, this product is not unscented. It's an essential oil-based fragrance. In the overall formula, there is less than 0.1% of cinnamon oil, methyl salicylate (purified wintergreen oil), eucalyptus oil, citrus oil, citronella oil, and clove oil.

Is this good for an automatic litter box?

It’s the strongest, most intense artificial bubblegum smell I’ve ever encountered. Honestly, I think I’ll take the cat pee smell over this. Does not seem to dissipate with time.

I have been looking for a replacement for a litter box odor eliminator that I loved, and I hoped this was it. Spoiler alert. It’s not. Aside from this being made from corn husks and not at all similar to a traditional litter texture, it’s highly scented. It’s not even a pleasant, odor eliminating scent. Immediately, you’re hit with a saccharine smell almost reminiscent of bubble gum, and it’s just gross. It claims to be made with essential oils that are safe for cats, but I think it made my cat sick. (We’re still hoping she pulls through.)

Now, instead of mixing in 2 Tbsps. every time I clean the box, I just sprinkle a little over the whole box every day. No smell, it's great. Will continue to buy it.

I was not expecting the beautiful scent to fill the room immediately. The long term odor control is great. I had to switch to a walnut litter and it just wasn’t keeping up with 3 cats so I needed to find something to help. I scoop multiple times a day, all the boxes, and could still smell the boxes, not anymore. It is the same texture and size as the rest of the litter. It is made with simple ingredients that are not going to bother me or my pets. No dust, none! This has been added to my autoship for every litter box in the house.

This is by far the best thing out there for litter deodorizer. I keep this on hand 100% all the time. I mix about a fourth of a cup with their litter in each litter

I do not put this directly in the litter box, I sprinkle it in the bags and containers I use to when scooping litter (my cats are strictly indoor). It does not eliminate

I do not put this directly in the litter box, I sprinkle it in the bags and containers I use to when scooping litter (my cats are strictly indoor). It does not eliminate smells completely however it helps a lot. The scent is refreshing and not at all overwhelming. I have also used it in my kitchen trash can.
