I have tried many brands, but usually stick to oxbow because of the quality. I ordered orchard hay from this brand this time and ugh…. I didn’t rate it super low since my buns didn’t seem to “hate” it, but I’m getting rid of it regardless. It smells extremely stale and musty, almost feels moist, is super soft and dark green compared to the freshness of oxbows orchard hay. Won’t purchase this kind from them again but I’m glad I tried.
My Guinea pig wouldn’t even touch this hay. Got a refund from chewy however. Maybe my little guy is just really picky, but he didn’t like this brand. Maybe we just got a bad bag. I dunno
My guinea pigs love this! The strands are nice and green and soft, and they go crazy for it. I also like the velcro close on the top of the bag. It is a lot easier than the plastic zip-lock style
I’ve tried their (this brand, Sweet Meadow Farm) other Timothy hay and is often pretty good, and offers variety from my other high quality hays (including Rabbit Hole which I highly recommend). However this orchard grass was a definite no. No fragrance. Stale. Waste of $.
