Wanted to love this
By BengaLife on Feb 10, 2021
Well, I'm a new kitten owner trying to find the 'best'-healthy-for-kitty-eco-friendly-not-too-stinky cat litter! Tried pine pellets already (pro: cheap; con: smells like a barnyard and wet pellets turn to dust and can't be removed easily). I really wanted this one to work but not sure I'm sold. The clumping factor for wee is underwhelming. And you go through so much litter trying to get the wet stuff out. Even if you wait hours, inevitably you remove far more clean litter then you want to because when you scoop and lightly shake off excess, these soft clumps fall apart and most ends up back in the box. If you just try to scoop wet spots and Not shake anything off, you end up with tons of clean Well, I'm a new kitten owner trying to find the 'best'-healthy-for-kitty-eco-friendly-not-too-stinky cat litter! If you just try to scoop wet spots and Not shake anything off, you end up with tons of clean litter discarded too. Needless to say we're getting through the largest (and expensive) bag fast. It does work well for pooh, but I need something for the wee as well! My kitties are Bengals, supposedly ultra-picky about the cleanliness of litter box, so I need to be able to remove everything easily and frequently. There's a lot to like about this natural litter but unfortunately it's not right for me. … more

Do Not Recommend
By AmyMV on Feb 20, 2021
We used this cat litter years ago and it worked great; kept the odor down, clumped well etc... We decided to try it again because Chewy was out of the litter we normally purchase and the big bag was on sale. First, the litter was shipped from PA so it took about a week to get here (we live in Utah) and second this litter is no longer the great product it used to be. It doesn't keep the odor down & it doesn't clump well. I had to use double of what I use with my other litter just to keep the litter boxes serviceable. So much for saving money because it was on sale.

Loved from the first use 14 years ago. Would not think of using anything else.
By Jean on Feb 6, 2021
I moved to a country home with acreage in 2007. As I was checking out the nearby town, I found 2 rescue kitties under a car in a parking lot. 1 didn't make it through the night. The other is still with me. From the start, I knew I needed something safe for my new friend. My Queen cat is still using this litter, as well as the additional cats through the years. Currently 10 cats love this product. Even the outdoor cats that like a good litter during bad weather. Everyone should love this product. It's clean, odor free and does the job without harm to my furry friends or the environment.

Worst tracking ever!!!
By tracking on Feb 25, 2021
Works great for clumping, natural & safe but the tracking is awful and because of that I’m switching after this first bag is done. Super lightweight so their paws jump out of the box full of the litter spreading it everywhere, & I mean everywhere! Too bad cause other than the awful tracking I really liked

Wow what a change!
By newlitter on Feb 18, 2021
This winter clay litter has proven unusable - gumming up to where it was unscoopable, except with a chisel. I decided to try sWheat Scoop and was amazed a the difference. I had been driven to tears when I used any clay litter, and can actually scoop this. Thank God I found it.

Great eco-friendly litter
By CatMama on Jan 3, 2021
I’ve used this litter for about two weeks now and I love it. I switched from silica and I couldn’t be happier. The clumping is decent and I’ve found a way to get most of the pee out without the clumps falling apart. It smells a bit like pee while scooping, but that dissipates quickly and overall it masks the smell well. I have two cats, one with kidney issues who pees a ton, and scooping twice a day works well. It does kick out of the box, but the larger sized bits make it easy to clean and it has much less dust than the silica litters I have tried. Overall I am very happy with this litter.

Best litter for environment and breathing
By TraceyCFla on Jan 5, 2021
We have been using this litter for 14 years and wouldn't consider changing. I have asthma and other health issues, clay litter is not an option. We used another flushable litter that changed their formula, that's when we tried Swheatstep. It's a great product. It holds together well enough to be scooped onto a tissue and flushed. Having a compromised immune system, this litter has really helped. A bonus, it doesn't seem to get tracked outside of the box as much as the clay litter that my friend uses.

Love this litter
By Mnlooney on Jan 30, 2021
After years of using clay litter my friend gave me a bag of this and it was such a game changer!!! No dust, no smell, easy to clean, this stuff is AMAZING! And I feel like it lasts forever since it doesn’t smell horrible and clumps tight I’m not having to dump the entire box all the time because of the smell.

The Disaster I did not plan for
By Amanda on Jan 7, 2021
So I got this litter for my elderly cat whose declawed and sensitive to clay. Low and behold, my other two cats and my chihuahua would think its food. It literally smells like food. So I didnt even get it in a litter box, the other pets broke open the bag when I was gone. I ended up throwing all of it away, It wasn't worth the hassle. There are other non clay litter options that dont smell like food to your fur babies....

Terrific natural litter
By EDan on Dec 13, 2020
I have used this litter since I had my first cat. I currently have 2 cats and they love it. I don’t want to breathe in clay and chemicals and I don’t want my cats licking clay and chemicals off themselves. This litter is wheat. It’s as clean as litter gets. So while there might be litters that claim to clump faster, or mask odors better, or not track litter, etc. I haven’t found that any of that is true. Swheat Scoop clumps just fine and masks odors as well as any litter. The cats track it around a bit but all litter tracks. It’s just the truth about litter: it’s going to track a bit. I think Swheat Scoop is great and will continue to gladly purchase it from Chewy and anywhere else.
