Can you compost it?

This litter can be composted. Unlike traditional litters, which sit in landfills for an infinite number of years, sWheat Scoop’s all-wheat, renewable formula is Mother Nature approved.

Is this soft? I have a 17 year old cat whose rejecting clay and using puppy pads or towels.

This liter is great for all cats and even recommended by veterinarians for kittens and post-surgical cats.

Roughly how many litter boxes can you fill with a 25lb bag of this? Or what is the volume of the product?

This depends on the amount of cats you own and how many litter boxes you have. It's recommended to fill the litter box up to 2 to 3 inches of litter.

Cats love but I hate.

Won 't be buying again due to weird clumping...cats love it but this scooper doesn't! Some large clumping holds together but the majority breaks into nickel sized

Won 't be buying again due to weird clumping...cats love it but this scooper doesn't! Some large clumping holds together but the majority breaks into nickel sized pieces which takes much more effort to truly clean the litter. Tracking and scent control seem to be average...I'm trying to find something cheaper that World's Best and this isn't it, IMHO.

Used to be great

I’ve used this for over a year now and I swear something has changed with the formula. It makes so much dust! That being said the odor control and clumping are great

I’ve used this for over a year now and I swear something has changed with the formula. It makes so much dust! That being said the odor control and clumping are great and my cats like it. I’m looking for something with lower dust and less tracking, but so far we’ve tried lots of the more natural litters and this has been the best one. I just wish they could reduce the dust and I would stay with this brand.

It’s okay for a multi cat house hold

I liked this litter it has an odd smell. It clumps well but i wouldnt say fast. If you pick up the litter too fast it will just stick to the scooper and its gross

I liked this litter it has an odd smell. It clumps well but i wouldnt say fast. If you pick up the litter too fast it will just stick to the scooper and its gross. This litter does get EVERYWHERE. It will - i have been using this for the first 6 months for my kittens and a catching mat does nothing. its everywhere. One of my 4 kittens did have more respritory issues when using this litter but he is extremely sensitive to the dust, the other three had no issue. BUT this has no tracking (no little dust prints of paws on my furniture) and i would say that is significantly less dust than the other litter brands - you only really notice the dust when you are closer to finishing the litter bag but im assuming because it just settles at the bottom. I love this litter i just hate how it gets everywhere, you definitely need to vacuum like twice a day

We've never had a problem before and have been purchasing with chewy for over two years since getting out cats. The box had litter all over the inside making it unusable with the way it had been thrown in the box.

This wheat-based litter is good, it’s not quite as clumping or odor controlling as the World’s Best but is a good substitute if you have cats who are allergic to corn products.

Extremely dusty to the point where it would be all over my cat’s body/face when exiting the litter box, and caused an asthma flare up in my asthmatic cat. Poor little guy couldn’t stop coughing :( Tracks a lot as it was constantly getting stuck in their paws. Clumps fine in litter box, but upon scooping it all just falls apart. Disappointed in all aspects of this product.

Tracks a LOT before I even fully switched over, doesn't clumpy very well

I was really hopeful for a dust and clay-free alternative, and it did have little to no dust, but unfortunately it has been tracking everywhere with a top entry

I had used clumping clay litters and corn-based litter with my last cat. The clumping clay litters tracked everywhere and were all so dusty. Dust on my cat, on the floor, everywhere. The corn litter was also very dusty and made my small apartment smell like a musty grain silo. I’m not a fan of wood-based litters and have a soy allergy so those are no-go for me. I found out about Swheat when I took care of my neighbors’ cat while they were away. I was impressed by its clumping power and lack of odor. It is also less dusty. When I adopted my current cat, I decided to give it a try. Both my cat, who was used to walnut-based litter at her last home, and I are happy with Swheat. My cat took to it immediately and, in my opinion, it doesn’t track as much as other litters. I think the small sisal mat (also from Chewy) my cat steps on while leaving her litter box helps with the tracking issue a lot as well. I use the multi-cat formula. I don’t know if it works better than the other Swheat products. I only know I’m not going to switch to another product.
