Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.

Maximizing Nutrient Absorption

To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Quality puppy food is difficult to find. Initially, we bought store brand regulars, but our Shorthair was losing weight. After changing to this, she’s not only filled out with muscles, but her coat is smooth. Her energy is where it should be and her digestive tract is functioning properly. Once once in awhile do you smell an obnoxious tweet, and it’s because she’s smelled her way to leftovers. And Chewy...don’t know if you realize, but I received a handwritten Christmas card today right when I needed to order more food. Not only did I order from the site instead of a conpetitor’s, I started auto ship. Thank you, Chewy!

I have 2 huskies and they were fine eating another food but I found out about this Taste of wild and I wanted to try it. It was a great idea. My huskies loved it. For now Im feeding them both food at same time while they get used to it but is crazy how they look for the taste of wild and leave the rest behind. So happy with this product

  • Frenchie approved

Our french bulldog puppy loves this food. She will actually dance her butt around when we are filing her bowl; even if there is already food in it. She was being fed a different brand when we got her and within a week of eating this her coat is softer and shinier, plus she looks meatier and more fillled out.

  • Best Ever for English Bulldogs!

    By on

I have 2 English Bulldogs which as anyone who knows the breed knows they have allergies. This food has helped tremendously with their seasonal allergies and has really brought a healthy shine to their coats. I breed them as well and this is by far the only food I ever let them have and I recommend it to all my puppy parents! A+

  • Taste Of The Wild is one of the best rated dry dog foods out there

    By on

We have been using Taste Of The Wild brand dog foods for our Border Collies for 3 years now. As a breeder, we wanted the best dog food at the best price for our girls and their puppies. Taste Of The Wild receives one of the highest ratings overall for best dog food on the market. We like it because it keeps our girls in tip top health with beautiful, shiny coats and no allergic reactions. Border Collies can develop skin allergies to foods with fillers and Taste Of The Wild has none of those. We highly recommend this brand to anyone with a Border Collie and for any other breed for that matter.

  • Great for my puppies.

    By on

I changed my puppies food to this brand because they stopped wanting to eat their old brand. I thought it was going to be a challenge for the transition but they love it. My girls have gained a pound in a few weeks after eating their new food. Which was a good sign for me since, they weren't gaining much weight due to a lack of appetite .

  • My Bruno Loves the food

    By on

I ordered this brand for the first time as chewys suggested it. He was having itching issues before this because of his previous food. Now after using this for couple of weeks he almost stopped itching. We are very happy about this and the customer service chewys provided.

  • Best tasting

I started out my German shepherd puppy on Blue buffalo puppy food for LG breed puppies... then a week later added the blue buffalo red meat for puppies. The breeder I got my GS from wouldn't let us pick up our puppies until 9 weeks old. They used Purina puppy chow, she gave me a sample bag. I thought the blue buffalo was a superior puppy food, I still think that...however, I had to beg him to eat it. At 1st he ate it dry, then gradually by 5 months I had to mix it with can food. Still it was a struggle to get him to eat it... but thought it was worth it for him to have a quality puppy food. At 6 months he stopped eating it all together. Taste of the wild was my 2nd choice puppy food, only because I started out my German shepherd puppy on Blue buffalo puppy food for LG breed puppies... then a week later added the blue buffalo red meat for puppies. Taste of the wild was my 2nd choice puppy food, only because the blue buffalo had the LG breed formula. The folks at chewy.com was so helpful... beyond expectations. I called and told them my situation. I got a 5lb bag of the high prairie to begin with... he ate that up in no time... since then I ordered the 30lb bag... he now only eats this puppy food... best out of 6 different brands Ive tried. I actually did a taste test using the exact same bowls, same amt of food... I line them up & he wouldn't even touch the other puppy foods. He likes the taste of the wild Pacific stream ok... but nothing comes close to taste of the wild high prairie w/bison & venison. … more

  • My adult and puppies do very well

    By on

Had tried other brands which my shih-tzus wouldn't eat. They lost weight. They love Taste of the Wild Puppy Formula which I feed both puppy and adults. I add a little water to help soften for the puppies.
