Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.

Maximizing Nutrient Absorption

To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

  • Great for my German Shepherd !

I had gone from a year of FROMM and then switched over to 'Taste of the wild' for a better mealtime flavor! My boy got bored of the old food. Kaiser LOVES this and foams into the mouth every time he eats :) His poos are completely solid and elastic for an easy pickup... I must say... His poo smells like fish now due to the salmon I believe (haha) ;) HIGHLY recommend this food for a big healthy breed dog that has not only a sensitive stomach but sensitive skin. Also, the transition was amazing. No crazy upset stomach problems surprisingly. I didn't have time to transition the food properly... However, I got surprisingly lucky. :)

I own four Corgies, which are notorious for over eating. I had them on the prescription Science Diet Metabolic for weight control. I finally got tired after four years of putting out $80.00 every two weeks for this food. I researched on line for best dog food that is grain free and this food was the top one that popped up. I switched two weeks ago, all four dogs love it, their coats feel slick and all four of them have lost their horrible bad breath, one dog is doing exceptionally well, he's like a puppy, full of energy, so the weight control food evidently was not so good for their stomach, causing bad breath and lack of energy. I would highly recommend to try this food, the cost is less than I own four Corgies, which are notorious for over eating. I had them on the prescription Science Diet Metabolic for weight control. • Best food!

My two year old disabled, mut Spider suffers from allergies. My vet recommended a food trial because the medication he was taking wasn't working as well. A friend had told me about Taste of the Wild, it's the food her dog is on and she loves, so I thought maybe I'll try it. Best decision ever! Once I opened the bag, some spilled on the floor and my dog, with no hesitation at all, dived in to pick up the pieces. My other dog, Koko, enjoys it as well, she doesn't have allergies but Spider eats her food so I thought this will work for both of them. Now Spider's allergies are clearing up and he's living life on Taste of the Wild.

Switched to this food after using Wellness Core Ocean for a few years as the company decreased the amount of food in each bag by 4 lbs but kept the price the same - seriously??!! I just thought this move was ridiculous by that company, so I went in search of a new brand and found that Taste of the Wild Pacific Salmon had a similar ingredient list to the Wellness Ocean. Took about 2 weeks to switch my Dane over (with the use of pre/probiotics) and I am happy to say after the transition that she loves this food and her coat is definitely healthier and shinier (have had many comments on it). I'm very happy to have found this food that is working so well for her, satisfies her allergy needs (she Switched to this food after using Wellness Core Ocean for a few years as the company decreased the amount of food in each bag by 4 lbs but kept the price the same - seriously??!! My dogs love Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream Grain-Free Dry Dog Food! I’m on Autoship and it’s so convenient, no more running around only to find out the store is out of your food choice! No last minute dashes when the kids forget to tell you “doggies are out of food”...we have 2 large dogs so we love the every 2 week autoship option, the other place we tried only had monthly options!

Our little poodle, Bailey, is allergic to meat .... beef, chicken, bison, venison, duck, lamb, turkey .... yes ALL meat! Her vet recommended Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream and she has done very well with it. It's a salmon based food and is chocked full of other good stuff, too, like sweet potatoes, potatoes, peas, garbanzo beans, dried chicory root, tomatoes, blueberries, and raspberries. For those of you who don't have a pet that is allergic to anything, you have no idea how hard it is to check to make sure everything she's allergic too she doesn't get. Even some foods that claim to have fish in them also have chicken as well which is a real no no. • High quality, good food, dogs love it

    By on

Pros: We’ve had our dogs on Taste of the Wild for a few years. They have always done very well on it and enjoy a variety of their flavors. We just adopted a puppy who we immediately began transitioning from a grocery store food to taste of the wild, he is doing great with it as well. Our new pup didn’t have skin or coat issues but after being on taste of the wild (the puppy blend) for just a few weeks there are noticeable improvements to his coat, Con: I’ve noticed that it rarely, if ever, goes on sale.

  • A great dog food!

We have been feeding our two labs this dog food since we brought them home as pups. This food keeps them regular and their coats shine. One of our labs had a lot of skin issues and his coat was dull and coarse when we got him. After being on Taste of the Wild his skin and coat cleared right up! He looks like a new dog and I'm sure he feels like one too.

  • Our dog loves it! No need to switch it up anymore!

    By on

Our 2-year old lab-pit mix is not a picky eater, but we would notice that, with other foods, she would get tired of the food (not that enthusiastic at meal time). However, after switching to Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream, we have not had to switch up her food at all. She loves it! And we love the way it's helped keep her coat shiny, and her stools consistent and healthy.

My Pitbull X apparently has allergies to some foods. Over the weeks I've been whittling it down as to what he's upset with. I bought this Taste Of The Wild with no grain, wheat etc... he loves it. His fur is so smooth now. I didn't know a food could make this much of a difference. I couple this with Precise Holistic Complete Salmon & Trout. I've never seen him so happy with eating a dog food. He looks & feels so much more healthy .
