Dried Bifidobacterium Animalis Fermentation Product is a probiotic, or good bacteria, that is added to Taste of the Wild formulas to help support healthy digestion. It is a component of their proprietary probiotic blends, K9 Strain Probiotics and Viables Probiotics.

I looked at the ingredients and don't see anything that says chicken fat added, as most dog foods do. Is this 100% chicken free?

Recipe change making dog puke

We’d been getting this for our boy since he was 12 weeks old. So for about 4 years now. In the last 3 month we’d notice him puking almost once a week 10-30 minutes

We’d been getting this for our boy since he was 12 weeks old. So for about 4 years now. In the last 3 month we’d notice him puking almost once a week 10-30 minutes after eating. We assumed it was just that he was eating too fast after playing hard before dinner. He went to go stay with a friend over Christmas break and she noticed whenever she fed her other dogs he would avoid his food and ask for the other dogs’ food. Which he ate with no issues. I started buying him that brand and he’s been totally fine, no puking since. So I looked into taste of the wild online to see if anyone else was having similar issues. Not many people, but a handful were saying that they changed their recipe a while back. And the customers who tried to contact them got little to no info about the change. But people were reporting vomiting, lethargy, kidney issues, and other issues. However, our other friend feeds his dog the taste of the wild and she’s totally fine far as we know, every dog is different. But just be weary and if your dog gives you any sign they don’t like the food, they’re trying to tell you something.

I am only putting one star because I can’t click zero. This food as advertised as grain free and seems healthy for your pet. Grain is actually healthy to have in most dog breeds balanced diets with exceptions of course. The added lentils peas and ‘fillers’ are lethal to a dogs health however. We recently lost our 4 year old Golden Retriever to DCM. It was devastating. This food is not fit for an animals heart health and nutrient needs. Be sure to do your research before purchasing this product for your beloved pet.

We have tried every dog food for sensitive skin under the sun and my poor boy has had nothing but problems. Even foods that used to work for him like pro plan and pure balance started causing his allergies to flare up. He gets yeasty feets, ear infections, hives, and is just an itchy guy. I got our first bag of taste of the wild, salmon about a month ago and his skin is looking so much better already. He still licks at his feet and belly but I have noticed a big difference. The only other food that worked this fast was when I started cooking his food from scratch using salmon and Dr. Harveys dehydrated base. But its not the most sustainable so this is a perfect solution for now.

I was feeding my dog the Kirkland Turkey kibble and she was pooping like CRAZY. I read that this was a sign of malabsorption. Now after feeding my dog this for a week, she poops less and her coat doesn't have that greasy, corn chip smell after 3 days. Super happy with this brand.

The 2 coonhounds have stinky gas but they always have stinky gas unless I cook for them but that can get expesive with 7 dogs.

My dogs like this food and it is literally a life saver for my dog. He's a Finnish Lapphund and he started to get crustiness on his face with a different food we were giving him. Finally a homeopathic vet told us he had a zinc-deficiency with his other food. (our original vet said he had an immune issue and wanted to put him on steriods for the rest of his life -so I got a second opinion). This food provides enough zinc so that he has never had another episode in many years (without any steriods). All the flavors are good and from what I have seen all have the 150 mg of zinc he needs.

60lb Mal scoffs it up. I have noticed her coat has gotten smooth and soft as well as she has started to build muscle. She is quite active and it seems like this food sticks with her and is helping her grow, from what I can tell, im no doctor. I will continue to feed with it and see how she does on it. But for the first month of using it I have noticed a large difference from the Nutro she was on, just in the softness and smoothness of the fur alone.
