The Diet Nature Intended

The Diet Nature Intended

They might not be wolves or coyotes, but today's domestic dogs share the same ancestral cravings. To satisfy these instinctual appetites, Taste of the Wild wet and dry formulas are made with real, roasted meat plus fruits, vegetables and legumes that are chosen for their specific health benefits.

Energy That Lasts

Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support

Immune System Support

Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.

Maximizing Nutrient Absorption

To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

  • Very tasty treat!

    By on

When it was first offered to our picky people food loving Ridgeback, he wolfed it down. Now he's accustomed to it he picks at it throughout the day. The fact that he actually eats it says a lot. As per usual, excellent service and super quick delivery from Chewy!

  • Taste of the Wild, gets two paws up!

We are on the first bag after switching from Fromm, current mixing the two brands to ease them over but both girls are liking the new flavors and this has energized their eating experience. Digestive systems are also making the change without issues.

  • Much better than the buffalo

    By on

We switched over to this brand because their original brand was not going to be carried on Chewy anymore. I had ordered the buffalo and they hesitated while eating it and it smelled really strong. This formula is much better and they enjoy it much more.

  • Top rated food for a great price!!!

    By on

My dog loves this food and I love the price. I checked the ratings on this food before I changed my dog over from another top rated brand. I was shocked to see this dog food was also at the top of the ratings for half the price.

  • Taste of the Wild Wetlands

Scooba likes it. What else really matters. We are supplementing the food with Tuna as it doesn't have the same content of meat that our previous food contained. As a replacement for Orijen it's pretty good. Less expensive.

  • Ok I guess

My Jaxson's has begun to become a bit pickier about his food. Could be my occasional combining of real chicken, fish and such with his kibble. He didn't particularly like Taste of The Wild to my disappointment. I've heard many great things about the product but he didn't take to it. I tried two different flavors and still he turned his nose up. However I add a bit of real food he eats it up. Never on it's own. Perhaps I've spoiled him now. However for some reason I feel the kibble size may also be a factor as previously I fed him Ideal Balance and the kibble size was a great deal smaller. I can't be sure. I don't really have negative things to say about the product just my Jax didn't take to My Jaxson's has begun to become a bit pickier about his food. • Great product!

Our dog loves this food, we have tried this flavor along with the prairie one. We love the fact that it's grain free and healthy, as well as having very few recalls compared to other "high quality" brands!

  • Definitely recommend!

I have a 1 yr. Old and 4 yr. Old German Shepherd, both seemed like they were lacking energy and the younger ones coat was very dull. Since both dogs seemed not well I figured may be the food. After 1 week on taste of the wild I noticed a complete difference! Both dogs are happy and healthy with tons of energy and their coats have never looked better! Very impressed with this brand of dog food and the dogs really love it. Well worth the price and the auto ship from chewy is very convenient so I don't have to worry about running to the store and hauling huge bags of dog food :)

  • He likes it

I have a 4 yr old Australian shepherd. He is not a gobbler when he eats so I never know if he really likes a dog food I get him. When I bought this product for the first time he ate quite a bit at one time. So this is a dry food I find he likes when I mix it with another kind to get a good balance of nutrition.
