About Taste of the Wild Dog Food

The Diet Nature Intended

The Diet Nature Intended

They might not be wolves or coyotes, but today's domestic dogs share the same ancestral cravings. To satisfy these instinctual appetites, Taste of the Wild wet and dry formulas are made with real, roasted meat plus fruits, vegetables and legumes that are chosen for their specific health benefits.

Energy That Lasts

Taste of the Wild is made with premium meats like wild boar; buffalo; smoked salmon and turkey; and roasted bison, lamb, quail, venison and duck. Every formula is grain-free and provides lasting energy with complex carbs from sweet potatoes and legumes. These highly digestible proteins and fiber-rich carbohydrates will keep your pup feeling full and energized throughout the day.

Immune System Support

Immune System Support

Since 70% of your pet's immune system is found in the gut, it makes sense to choose a food that's good for the digestive tract. Taste of the Wild includes prebiotics and species-specific probiotics with bacteria that's naturally found in a dog's GI tract. The proprietary K9 Strain probiotics are added after the kibble is cooked so your dog gets guaranteed live, active cultures that support healthy digestion.

Maximizing Nutrient Absorption

To help your pet's body absorb all of the beneficial minerals in her food, Taste of the Wild recipes have chelated minerals. That means they can easily attach to proteins for absorption during digestion. So your canine pal will enjoy the full value of every carefully selected mineral that these foods have to offer.

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

Perfectly Balanced Omegas

Taste of the Wild gives your pup just the right dose of omega fatty acids in every bite. Marine-sourced omega-3 comes from salmon oil, smoked salmon or ocean fish meal, or a combination of these ingredients. Omega-6 from plant sources balance out the omega-3s, and they work together to help maintain your pet's skin and coat health and to support overall wellness.

Ingredients for Better Health

The powerful superfood trio of blueberries, raspberries and tomatoes can be found in every delicious recipe, along with their immune-boosting properties.

TOMATOES and TOMATO POMACE: Help support overall health by providing vitamin C, soluble fiber and rich in concentrated lycopene, a premier antioxidant.

BLUEBERRIES: Antioxidant-rich superfood that's full of flavor and loaded with vitamins C and E, healthy carbs, dietary fiber and manganese.

RASPBERRIES: Delicious berries packed with potassium, manganese, copper, iron and magnesium, and they also provide fiber and antioxidants.

  • Amazing food and company!

    By on

Taste of the Wild is the first company who was willing to send samples before we bought. Our dog is very picky and after buying numerous bags of food that went to waste or had to be donated, I was reluctant to try another. I contacted the company and they send out all of the flavors I requested to try. We found 2 flavors our dog will eat without bribery. As a result, Taste of the Wild is our new food of choice! Our dog loved the Salmon and Chicken flavors the best; what will your dog choose??

  • Best dog food

Love this food for our golden retriever and Rhodesian ridge back mix and they love it too! It’s made they’re coast so pretty and shiny and they never have a problem eating it. We do occasionally change flavors when they seem to be tired of eating the same thing. But there’s a large selection of flavors which is great! It also really helps with keeping the girls regular and healthy. I would recommend this food to anyone. My mom and sister feed it to their dogs now too!

We have been looking for dry dog food for our dogs that would not cause them to have allergic reactions. My daughter got some samples and we tried it and they just gulp it down and seemed to love it. No allergic reactions. I do recommend this brand grain-free to anyone with dogs who have skin allergies. My dogs are the winners now.

Just started 18 month old golden retriever on this. He likes it and we’re having no issues transitioning from Taste of the Wild puppy salmon flavour. I’m mixing this with adult salmon to give him some flavour variety. He did exceptionally well on Taste if the Wild puppy

  • We love this grain-free food for our dog!

We rotate this food and its various flavors out for our dog. We have been using this food for years and used it with our other dogs who had food sensitivity issues. We would highly recommend it - every dog we have had it on has loved it, and it also has never caused any stomach upset or other issues.

  • Dog loves this stuff!!

    By on

I've tried three different foods with my relatively new pup and this is by far her favorite! And bonus - it also appears to be the healthiest. She likes it so much that I use it as treats when training her and she's happy to do anything I ask. I actually had to get a slow feeder bowl because she'd eat it way too fast when I just put it out in a regular bowl for her. (With the other two kinds, this was not the case). So my dog would definitely say she loves it!

  • High Quality Food

    By on

I can't say enough good things about Taste of the Wild. My dog was eating the cheapest and worst dog food at the time I rescued her. I was able to switch her to TotW without any issues. After 7 months of eating this brand her coat is shiny, soft, and healthy. Although my dog loves every flavor of this food, the Wetlands version seems to be her favorite. I highly recommend it!

  • Sick doggo

I've been feeding Sargent taste of the wild for about 9 months without an issue. Ive switched flavors on him Everytime he gets a new bag. He likes them all, and they all treated him well... Except for roasted duck. This food gave him such bad diahrea that he's gone to the bathroom in the house multiple times. We love your food! But just watch ya pup to make sure their stomach agrees with it. Now I have to go spend another 50 bucks on food "/

  • Not too sure about this.

I got this like a week or two ago for my Husky. Although it has helped tremendously with the shedding, he just doesnt seem too fond of it. Not sure why so i an changing over to the same brand just one with different ingredients to see if he likes it better.
