I am very thrilled and relieved to report that all my cats drink this water additive and none of them seem to mind the color or the taste! In addition, there is no detectable smell/scent and we all know with these crazy little felines thats a BIG PLUS! I just started them on this so the jury is out as to whether or not it actually helps with their minimal amount of tartar but when they see their vet this summer for their annual wellness check I should know more! A holistic vet actually recommended this product telling me that this TEEF is really the only one on the market that truly helps with plaque and tartar so we shall see!

Gave it a good try for months, not working for my cat

I had hoped this would help my cat with stomatitis, especially since the product website says the ingredient “Chlorella (algae) - Organic (fresh water) green algae

I had hoped this would help my cat with stomatitis, especially since the product website says the ingredient “Chlorella (algae) - Organic (fresh water) green algae cracked cell wall functions like a sponge that soaks up fungal toxins associated with stomatitis.” I’ve been using it for nearly 6 months and had bought a 90 day supply twice in the hopes that it needed more time to work. Perhaps my cat’s stomatitis is too severe for this to have any effect but unfortunately his gums are still red and his breath still reeks. I’ve seen no improvement whatsoever. He had no qualms about taking it though. It easily mixes into liquid from canned food . It might work for your cat though, it’s worth a try.

When I heard about this, I HAD to get it!!! My 14 year old cat had always had some sort of trouble with her teeth, I can hear them grind when she eats, one vet said one is broken, but it's not an issue, another said its tarter.. I use dental wipes, and want to add this, she HATES the flavor, many say it's flavorless?! I started adding it to hydracare and syringe feeding it to her daily, because she also doesn't drink ANY water! That works like a charm!! I've noticed she doesn't act like her mouth is bothering her when she chews now! I recommend this!

So far so good .... Am trying this out with my 14 year old tortie. At first I was concerned a water additive would change her drinking habits, but she doesn't seem to mind. She's had cleanings twice before at the vet and one tooth extracted. Her gums were looking a little inflamed and I tried brushing teeth, etc but she wasn't having it. Three weeks in to trying Teef and the inflammation on her gum line looks nearly resolved. I'm hopeful I'll start to see plaque reduction soon. So far I'm really pleased with it!

Did not help at all

I got this to try for my 17 year old cat because his teeth and gums are not well, and his breath is bad. The vet is not willing to put him under for a cleaning due

I got this to try for my 17 year old cat because his teeth and gums are not well, and his breath is bad. The vet is not willing to put him under for a cleaning due to his age and health issues like kidney disease and a heart murmur. I've been using this for over 6 weeks now and there has been zero improvement, and he drinks plenty of it daily. His breath still smells just as bad as before, his gums are still red and no improvement in his teeth. :( On a side note, things to be aware of: this will turn the water a greenish color. There doesn't seem to be any taste whatsoever (there's no odor to it), he didn't have issues with drinking it. Not sure why they don't just sell refills, I had to buy the entire kit twice.

Been giving it to our younger cat and her breath has improved by leaps and bounds. She used to have stinky breath even though we brushed her teeth everyday. Brushing

Been giving it to our younger cat and her breath has improved by leaps and bounds. She used to have stinky breath even though we brushed her teeth everyday. Brushing helps to prevent tartar from forming especially on the back teeth, but apparently the bad breath is due to her imbalanced oral microbiome. Her breath has improved tremendously ever since we started giving her Teef. She wouldn’t drink it in her water bowl, so we mix it in some water and syringe it on her gums to get it all over her mouth. We gave it to her everyday at first until we got the results we wanted, and after that we only give it to her every other day. Just a tiny amount and it helps to stretch the jar further. It might seem expensive at first, but hopefully it can save us much more costly dental procedures down the road.
