Recommended guidelines. Individual amounts may vary depending on animal activity and overall health and age.

Feed pregnant dogs up to 50% more during the last 3 weeks of pregnancy. Puppies less than 6 months old and lactating females require twice the amount of food as an Adult dog and should be fed 3-4 times a day. Puppies 6 months to a year should be fed twice daily. Senior and overweight dogs may be fed a reduced amount, depending on dog’s weight and activity level. Grain free diets may not be suitable for all dogs. If you have any dietary concerns, please consult your veterinarian. Be sure to have a clean bowl of cool, fresh water available at all times.

Transition Instructions

When changing to Tender & True Dog Food, some dogs may do better by making a gradual transition over 7 - 10 days. Start with 25% of the new food mixed with 75% of the previous diet, and gradually increase the new while decreasing the previous until the transition is complete.

This food is suitable for all dogs except large breed puppies. It is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for All Life Stages excluding growth of large size dogs (70 pounds or more as an adult).

The BEST Food!

We have a beagle who will NOT eat any other food except for Tender & True! I'm serious! He knows what he loves and he loves this food. All other foods (and there have been many), he just walks away from. We're so blessed to have this.

unbelievable

Wow I can’t believe it ….. I probably have the pickiest fur-baby on the planet and he gobbled up this food without me putting anything on it. He has never eaten dry dog food unless I put something on it and even then he mostly licks off whatever I put on it and spits out the dry food lol. I have tried 100’s of foods throughout his life and this is the first one he has liked so thank you Chewy……I just hope it stays stocked cause it’s out of stock now

My baby loves it!

Small little bites for my chihuahua. He gobbled it up! Really enjoyed it. And... it's organic! Very pleased with it. Switching to a totally organic diet now. Glad to find this product.

Quality and clean

While I don't love to feed my dog dry food, I always like to have some for back up in case we need it. She is a black lab with many sensitivities and I've found that this is the only brand that she both tolerates and enjoys - No more itchy skin, no more upset tummy. It's so rare to find trustworthy food brands these days, so I'm glad we happened to find this one.

Dogs like it—as much as they like any kibbel

Now that we are going back to the office I have to get the dogs on a new schedule. They normally get raw food and maybe canned wet. One dog thinks canned wet food is a treat. Since they won’t all eat as early as I have to leave I’ve left this down for them. They are not big on eating when I am away but some is always eaten. They do finish it when it’s mixed in with wet.

Dog loves it

My dog loves this kibble. She was suffering from irritable bowl issues and we switched her food to organic turkey and liver and have been good since!!! I will be sticking with tender and true!

Great for French bulldogs

My frenchie had skin problems and severe gas issues (sticky farts), since I change to this one, everything seems to disappear...I guess all the chemicals in the other food was giving him problems.

she generally prefers wet food, but in case of hunger emergency I always have a full bowl of dry food out and this is one of the FEW she actually eats.
