The product information states that the Tetra-1000 comes with 2 adapters, a 1/2" and a 3/4". However, I want to know the size of the tube that would attach to the pump without any adapter. I don't see any reference to the original size.

This pump has a 12 foot power cord.
Does this pump require a pre-filter?

This pump does not have to have a pre-filter although if it sits on the bottom of the pond it is recommend to have a pre-filter to keep it from clogging.

No Adapters as stated in Description!!!!!

"Features an adapter to fit tubing measuring ½ inch or ¾ inch in diameter." NOT! My pump and filter both failed and I'm already aggravated since I'm wasting more time trying to figure out how to make this fit without the promised adapters. I may or may not be sorry I fell for the great price bait. I'll let you know. Fix your description, for crying out loud. Although your service is great, a major error in the product description has me wondering if I can trust you. I would gladly have paid more for a correct and honest description of the product.

Strong and reliable

Works well! I did buy too big a pump for my pond size so I wish it is adjustable which if it is I am sorry but it is as described and works very very well.

lasting Pumps

My previous pumps alway lasted 2 to 5 years. Tetra was always a good product, but not these. One lasted 3 weeks and the other 4. I cleaned them regulary and they just got slower and slower.As per feedback. I would still recommend chewy but not this product.

Disappointment

Bought this pump April 24th of this year and it failed June23rd. Lost all my Koi ( 38 of them) due to its failure over night. I bought it as I have trusted the Tetra name for 30 years with my collection of fish both at home and at 2 pet shops we owned in the '90s. I am sick over their loss. Can you give a negative star rating?

High quality, durable and powerful pond pump.

This is my 2nd Tetra pond pump. The previous one lasted a long time. Sticking with a brand that has a proven track record.

No adapters included as stated in the listing.

I haven't had the chance to try out the pump yet, but figured I'd give a heads up that there is no adapters as stated in the listing. It only has a 1" adapter, now I have to make a trip back to Home Depot to switch out the tubing I already purchased in anticipation of receiving this pump .

Easy to install

Very easy to install and it works great. I used it connect to a tank filter that also run waterfall. The pond was cleaner in less than 12 hrs.
