If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two.

This helped our dog so much during thunderstorms. I was dubious because with pets oftentimes items are hit or miss, but this was an obvious hit. The vet had prescribed him some calming meds, but they take a while to kick in and it was hard to tell if it was upsetting his stomach or not. I'd heard that they made vests/shirts to help calm dogs, and purchasing the ThunderShirt was one of the best things I ever did. We followed the instructions and had him wear it a couple times before a thunderstorm actually hit. When we put it to the test, the results were visible. He wasn't panting nearly as heavily, he wasn't skittish or trotting back and forth from one end of the house to the other and his eyes didn't go wide with terror. Combined with the scent spray, it was the calmest I'd ever seen him during a storm. Note: The vest wasn't foolproof if we had a severe thunderstorm hitting directly overhead with lightning strikes within yards of the house, but those aren't as common and the vest really does a remarkable job for the average storm. I had a peace of mind knowing that I could return it if it didn't work. In short, I'm very, very happy with this product!

One of our pups is shaped a bit oddly with a wee neck and legs and a big beagle belly. I ordered the large per Chewy advice and though it was a bit gap-y at the neck , fit well around his belly. we sprayed the spray on both the shirt and his favorite blankets and toys for several days leading up to July 4th. The shirt , snugly closed, really calmed him and he buried his nose in the blankets. IMO it's important to introduce the shirt in a calm situation. We found out the hard way that if we wait until the stressor occurs, its too late. He was noticeably calmer, stayed with us all night (instead of squeezing under the bed) and while not happy about the noise, definitely coped so much better. Chewy CS was great about answering my questions and helping me with size.

Worked- reduced high anxiety

It didn’t take the fear completely away for either of my dogs but I am more than happy that it did reduce the level of their anxiety. There was a lot less trembling

It didn’t take the fear completely away for either of my dogs but I am more than happy that it did reduce the level of their anxiety. There was a lot less trembling and no panting/tongue hanging out/crazy eyes. I did use the special spray that came in the bundle- the shirts are nice quality with a good design- fits them well. Glad I finally tried these. We actually enjoyed the Fourth of July this year and I didn’t worry that the dogs would lose their minds with all the noise in the neighborhood.

I had my reservations about the thundershirt because I had heard good and bad, but was told if it didnt work for your pet you could get a 100% refund back. So I took the risk, and glad that I did!! It has helped him so much with his anxiety with storms and other loud noises that really cause him serve anxiety to the point of him usually shaking so bad I thought he'd have a heart attack and climbing in my lap. This shirt and spray duo has changed things for the better for us, so take the risk for your pet and see if it helps them. So worth it for us!!
