I had used the Tidy Cats heavy weight free and clean clumping litter for a while and liked it. Then my beloved feline companion began peeing on the inside walls of his litter box with more frequency and it was a real problem to clean up efficiently because the litter became hard as a rock and stuck to the sides and bottom of the box like glue. Not only that, but as neither of us is getting any younger, the 2 twenty pound jugs became just too difficult to manage. So I started mixing the heavyweight litter with the lightweight litter and now when my furry little angel pees on the side of his litter box, it’s a lot easier to clean. Also, it’s easier to deal with deliveries and I only have to order one jug of the heavy litter at a time, so the whole supply chain has become relatively problem free. Of course, now that I’ve solved the problem, Himself has stopped peeing on the sides of the litter box altogether. Ya gotta laugh!

We have five cats and have been using Ever Clean unscented for years. It noticed about a year or so ago that it had a scent to it and tons of dust. Three of our cats have developed asthma as a result of it. I was hesitant to switch to this because it is so much less expensive.... I should have done it six months ago. It has significantly less dust than the Ever Clean. There is still some, but nothing like before. It is actually completely unscented. My cats have stopped sneezing/coughing for the most part. I'm also not getting grossed out by the "fake smell" of the old litter. I have been scooping this every day, so I can't attest to how it would do not getting cleaned up regularly. I have noticed that sometime is does break apart into small pieces, so I have mitigated that by trying not to push it apart. I have also purchase a smaller grate type of scoop that should get the small pieces. Even with this, it is so much better than the Ever Clean. I'm honestly shocked. It does track (but we have trapping mats by the boxes so it isn't a big deal). Even if in time it gets stinky faster than the Ever Clean, I can live with that for half the price. Not having the smelly dust all over the place is worth it.

This litter used to be great which makes what it is now even more infuriating. At some point, the company clearly decided to cut costs and change the formula, and the result is absolute garbage. It does not clump anymore. At all. Instead of forming solid clumps, it turns into mush that breaks apart the second you try to scoop it, leaving urine soaked crumbs behind to stink up the box. Cleaning is a nightmare and the box is never actually clean. And the tracking? Unreal. This stuff gets everywhere all over the floor, stuck to paws, carried through the house like glitter. I’m constantly vacuuming, which completely defeats the purpose of buying a “premium” litter. It’s painfully obvious the company got greedy and ruined a once reliable product to save a few cents. Same price, worse quality. If you’re considering this litter because of older positive reviews, don’t.. I’ll be switching brands immediately and won’t be back unless they bring the original formula back

Shhh! People Can’t Tell I Have a Litterbox in Here!

I purchased this litter in a panic because I needed clay litter ASAP (I’d been using pine pellets, but had to switch due to a living situation shift). And I have to say, it’s one of the best panic purchases I’ve ever made! Despite having two large cats in a very small home, the litterbox is undetectable. Even my mom has remarked on the absolute lack of “cat smell,” and she’s highly sensitive to scents of all kinds. I do clean the litterbox every day, which helps, I’m sure, but I have been genuinely impressed with the quality of this litter, both in terms of clumping and smell absorption.

Unscented Litter and Less Sneezing

My kitten is positive for FHV so unscented litter is best for her and this one fits that requirement. It is clay so it isn’t the greatest for their lungs in general but this is cost effective and unscented for my kitty which is needed during this inflation period. Minus a point though because it leaves tiny pieces of her waste that doesn’t clump or that falls off the clump when scooping, so there’s a bunch of nasty bits that just fall through the scoop. The worst part of this litter, but keeps my kittens sneezing at bay

I’m amazed at how quiet this fountain is! It sits right outside our bedroom door so I was a bit hesitant to purchase it. Just got it running and hopefully our kitty will enjoy it. So far he just looks at it but won’t give it a try. I am hopeful though, he is reluctant to try new things but does eventually come around. The item did come very clean and looks great hanging out in our kitchen. I’m very happy so far with this purchase.

The lids of both 35 lb litter buckets came off. All of the litter was loose in the boxes. Then, one of the boxes broke, spilling 35 lbs. of litter all over my kitchen. Took over an hour to clean up. Both the item packaging and the Chewy packaging were terrible and insufficient. The litter buckets must remain upright with the lids securely attached or this will keep happening every time. Cancelling auto shipping and will purchase locally instead. Not worth the hassle.

Purina changed the formula. I have used this litter (tidy cats unscented) for over 10 years, and they changed the formula a couple months ago. It is now darker, heavier, does NOT control smell, and doesn’t clump. I will be cancelling my autoship and change to a new brand because it no longer fits my needs. Please read all the other reviews from the past few months, I’m not the only one to notice!

These are so heavy and hard to deal with coming in a two pack like they are, BUT it's a great deal. My allergies love that they are unscented, and they aren't AS heavy as other types. They do well in our automatic box, and my cats don't fuss about the litter. Sometimes it doesn't clump as much as I would like, as some of the other ones do, but it works well enough. I don't have this box in a public space so it doesn't stink up my whole house, but when the box tray on my automatic box gets full, this litter doesn't disguise the odor....so you definitely need to be handling the litter regularly. Idk that I would use it in a non automatic box unless you were scooping super regularly. But it works for us, and it doesn't have fragrance to make us sick, and that is our why here.

It comes in 35 lb pail, no need to be placed in boxes. Whoever boxed it up placed a pail with a busted lid in the box and sealed it. When it arrived the box was undamaged, but litter was leaking out of all the seams on th box. When opened, the pail was busted. Since the box it was in was undamaged, but pail was busted, common sense tells me the person who packed the pail deliberately pack a damaged item on purpose. I will NOT be ordering from Chewy ever again. And immediately after calling to cancel my auto ship of the order, my debit card on file was hacked. Chewy was the only place it had been used in a week, so I know it had to have happened with the person who cancelled my order.
