For adult cats, feed approximately 1 1/2 cans per day per 7 lbs. of body weight. For kittens, offer food several times a day, feed up to twice this amount. Pregnant or nursing cats may require two to four times their normal feeding. The amount to feed will vary based upon age, activity level, breed, size, and environment. Please use the feeding guidelines as an initial recommendation and adjust food amount as needed to maintain proper weight.
The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.
I bought this for the first time recently because it is grain-free and I suspect one of my cats has allergies. Both cats just eat this up! They love it! I wish it was available in smaller sizes because even splitting it up is A LOT and I don't like keeping a can of food for multiple savings- however, I'm going to order more of this because they find it so tasty and that's hard to find with healthier foods!
I have a very picky cat and she despises any pate, but hates strips or chunky textures. I knew from the image alone that this was exactly the kind of wet food I was looking for (also very good ingredients for your feline friends). Course before I bought a case I had her try a can and she’s been hooked. It’s perfect and has great moisture for cats who don’t drink water as often as they should (can be mixed with kibble too). My furbaby begs for it and finally finishes her meals every time without fuss
My cat meows every time I grab a can of tiki cat. She stands on her hind legs and tries to reach for it as I fill her food dish. I like the ingredients in this brand much more than Friskies (our old brand). I am only buying the cans with no chicken because my cat has an allergy. Tiki cat offers multiple different cat food flavors that do not contain chicken, which I am happy about.
I had a girl who had a bit of diarrhea - appeared to be a viral issue - and this stuff was a life saver! She adored the taste, and within a day her symptoms had improved. If your vet recommends adding pumpkin to your kitty's diet for GI issues, this stuff is just lovely!
So far I have only tried the calamari recipe, but she chowed down. I opened the can and just put it down for her to try and she started locking right away. It does seem very brothy but my cat likes bits in broth better than any other textur and prefers the broth over the food. She also prefers food that she doesn't have to chew I noticed. Have the other 3 recipes to try but even if she only likes the one, it's a win
Cans were pretty dented during shipment but they seemed intact and no leaks. My older cat refuses to eat dry food unless mixed with canned but so far he is less likely to pick around the dry food when I used this brand to mix it with
My cats have been on this food for 2 years. I used to love this product as well as my 2 cats. However in the last few months the price per box increased by $3 and the quality quickly fell. The cans are much more watery than before. I do not feel like I am getting my money’s worth especially with the price increase. I do not believe this is Chewy’s fault but just a manufacturing fail. I would buy other food before this. Looking into alternatives…
I got the pouches first just to see if my kitten would like them. So far he tried every one expect for the shrimp one. Save to say my kitten loves this with his dry food cause I normally mix them together and give him half with his food.
Our senior cat has been throwing up her dry food often. Vet exam and bloodwork are normal. She had always eaten a small amount of wet but we had to quadruple her wet food consumption to equal the dry food calories that she's now missing. Both cats really like this Aloha fish and pumpkin variety pack. (Much less frequent vomiting too)
Most of cats really like it, especially the one with tilapia and the one with calamari. They are kind of ehh on the other two flavors, but it still gets eaten pretty well. Even my cat who pretty much only likes dry food and usually only licks the gravy off of wet food licks his plate close to clean :)
