Water Buffalo horns are not a naturally shed product. Water Buffalo is a meat source and the horn is a by-product. The manufacturer utilizes the horn instead of it going to waste.

these are not great

the edges are very thin and splinter and crack when they chew. I have had horns in the past that wear slowly with lots of chewing. these just crack and I worry about

Dangerous pet treat

The base on each of the horns where it was cut off was very thin. Both dogs immediately began chewing on this base and breaking off pieces and swallowing them

The base on each of the horns where it was cut off was very thin. Both dogs immediately began chewing on this base and breaking off pieces and swallowing them. I had to immediately remove them and throw them out. Complete waste of money. Horns that I purchased from pet stores locally have very thick bases that the dogs are incapable of breaking off pieces.

Nice chews for medium chewers

Both my dogs like these, but a super chewer will really make quick work of them. Fair warning, they smell a little like burnt hair when a dog really gets going on

Both my dogs like these, but a super chewer will really make quick work of them. Fair warning, they smell a little like burnt hair when a dog really gets going on them. That smell does not last when the dog is done chewing it. There is no staining or lingering issues with smell either. Just know they're not 100% odorless when in active use.

My dogs were enjoying these until I noticed the larger one had chunks and splinters breaking off of the larger end. She swallowed some and vomited them up. I’ll keep a close eye on the small one to see what happens with it. I do not recommend them for powerful chewers.
