4 Customer Questions

I'm unclear on the size of these bones - what is their size range?

Answer by ChewyApr 28, 2021
While these treats are natural and may vary in size, they measure approximately 2-3 inches in diameter.

I'm confused by the label on the package saying "organically sourced" is this a USDA Organic product? If it's not, what does "organically sourced" mean?

Answer by ChewyApr 28, 2021
Animals are raised in living conditions accommodating their natural behaviors (like the ability to graze on pasture), fed 100% organic feed and forage, and not administered antibiotics or hormones.

Are these sourced in the US? Meaning does this come from US cattle?

Answer by ChewyApr 28, 2021
These treats are sourced from and made in the USA.

What are these bones smoked with? Are there any additional flavorings/ingredients added to them?

Answer by ChewyApr 28, 2021
These are smoked with pieces of real beef. They are completely free from additives, preservatives and artificial ingredients.

Nice Small Chew for my small dog

Was hesitant in purchasing these bones due to some of the comments regarding splintering pieces and the odor. I have not had issues with either of these problems

Was hesitant in purchasing these bones due to some of the comments regarding splintering pieces and the odor. I have not had issues with either of these problems with these bones. My dog loves these. They help her with her anxiety and I haven't had to add peanut butter even after she chewed off what looks like would be all the flavor. I purchased these over a month ago and she's still gnawing on the 2 original bones I gave her and she chews them daily. We'll have these bones for a while so I'd say definitely worth the money! So glad we got a good batch of bones! Koa says thank you! :)

Avoid these

A friend's dog had to go to the emergency vet because their lower jaw slipped through the hole while chewing. They could not get it off , so they went to the Evet

If you want to choke or kill your dog, buy these chews!

This is a terrible chew for dogs. Hard thick round bones dogs will love and can easily swallow. This type of bone may choke or kill the dog. My neighbor stupidly

This is a terrible chew for dogs. Hard thick round bones dogs will love and can easily swallow. This type of bone may choke or kill the dog. My neighbor stupidly gave his dog a similar chew and had to have it surgically removed at a cost of $3,000. I inadvertently bought them but once the chews were here and I saw what they are, I immediately threw them away. Don't make the same mistake I did. Chewy is a great company, but it shouldn't sell such a dangerous chew for dogs. Truth in advertising: Change the name of this product to CHOKE OR KILL YOUR DOG

"Bone Cherrios" - Definitely Only for Small or Medium Size Dogs

I've been looking for a made in the USA bone that was an appropriate size for my 25lb dog. These bones are packaged like they're 3 longer bones, but they're cut

I've been looking for a made in the USA bone that was an appropriate size for my 25lb dog. These bones are packaged like they're 3 longer bones, but they're cut into small segments which remind me of the cereal Cherrios. There's marrow in the middle of the bone, which my dog very quickly chews out. She seems less interested in chewing the bone itself (without the marrow), so it's quite possible that these bones won't last long - that she'll just chew out the marrow and discard. In terms of smell and stain, these do have a slight smell, but it's nothing extreme. I haven't noticed much staining either. These are smoked & I'm aware of lots of articles stating that this is dangerous due to the higher probability of splintering. So far my dog's chewing habits haven't caused the bone to splinter or break at all. Be sure to watch your dog while chewing. I wouldn't recommend this size bone to a toy breed or a "more robust sized" medium dog, like an Australian Shepherd as the larger medium sized dogs could potentially swallow this whole and choke. Small dogs and smaller sized medium dogs like a Pug, Corgi, Schnauzer, Terriers, or a Beagle would be happy with this sized bone (assuming they're not very aggressive chewers that might cause this to splinter).
