can I feed this to my quaker

Answer by ChewyJul 24, 2022
This food would not be recommended for a Quaker. It is intended for larger parrots.

Can this be fed dry?

Answer by ChewyJan 12, 2021
It is not recommended to feed this dry. Soak one part TOP's All-in-One Seed Mix in three parts of room temperature water for between 8 and 24 hours. Drain, rinse with water and feed to your parrot. You can also add some apple cider vinegar, rinse again with fresh water, and serve. Keep leftovers in the refrigerator for a few days. Rinse again before feeding.

The size of the pellets seem small for a macaw. While I’m convinced that this brand is the best available, being cold-pressed and made from high quality ingredients, my bird wouldn’t eat them unless given nothing else. My bird was coming from another brand of pellets and isn’t a picky eater.

Too tiny for parrot

My African grey does not care for it. I don’t know if it’s the size or what type of food.

My bird wouldn't touch it. I have a yellow collar macaw. Thank you chewy for the refund. Thought I would put some out for the wild birds for my cats to watch. Well They didn't find it and it sat in some water and grew the best cat grass ever. Now I use Red Robin take out food containers as a little greenhouse and this stuff pops up so fast in the house, It is ready to eat in about a week. It was better than the premade, do it yourself cat grass I bought. Might just buy this again for the cat grass.

This came up in the filter for my African Grey parrot, and was on sale, so I got 3 bags of it. It says on the bag that it is for MEDIUM AND LARGE HOOKBILLS. Much to my surprise and dismay, the seed is all very small, like something I would feed to cockatiels or parakeets. Or the size I would put in an outdoor bird feeder!! There aren't even sunflower seeds in it! ...all smaller than that!! Will never trust this label again.

My birds and I love TOP's. All of my birds except my macaw and conure eat TOP's pellets. When I get a foster or a new bird, I feed them TOP's organic seed mix because it's way better than most of the seeds they sell at the pet stores. This was a lifesaver when a surrendered budgie broke the tip of her beak and could not eat hard food for a while, as I soaked the seeds to make them softer for her. I also sprout these. I only wish that the Napoleon seed mix came in a bag this large because I do prefer that one for my small birds.

2 Bad birds

The product is very fresh and the quality is in place. Unfortunately, Max (Ecletus) and Simon (African Grey) will not eat it. They are picky.
