How do you measure your cat for this?

Comfortable & Safe

My sweet baby boy Shastya has hotspots all over his body right now, so after shaving, bathing & applying the hotspot treatment, i put him in the donut. Its been 24hrs and so far so good. His hotspots are on his neck and the neck part is soft & non irritating thank goodness. He has wobbly cat syndrome so this has made it a bit harder, but worth it. He hasnt been able to reach the hotspot areas and im hopeful in 2 weeks itll be cleared up.

Perfect size

It is adjustable at the neck and works perfect for long recovery periods. It does not work for all situations, as i found my car was able to still reach some body

It is adjustable at the neck and works perfect for long recovery periods. It does not work for all situations, as i found my car was able to still reach some body parts to groom . But for shoulder surgery, it works great , he cant pull his stitches and it allows him to eat, drink and use the litter box . Best alternative to the Cone!

The small pillow fits my 10-lb. cat perfectly. She is much more comfortable with this, after the cone, because her eyes, ears, and whiskers are unimpeded. The decorative "ears" on the donut were a problem because she kept stepping on them - I simply cut them off. This item prevents her from licking an area near her tail, which was the goal. It was definitely the right choice.

Introduce this gradually at first, give treats for wearing it, distract with a play activity if your pet seems anxious with it on. Our cat has an injured eye, this keeps him from trying to clean his face after eating, or after eye meds are put in. I think he realized it's also a pillow, and with a big sigh of relief he finally fell asleep with it on.

Deceivingly small

The cat in the picture that is shown with the pillow must be a kitten. This is not large enough to be effective. My cat was still able to easily reach his wound

The cat in the picture that is shown with the pillow must be a kitten. This is not large enough to be effective. My cat was still able to easily reach his wound and lick to his heart’s content. Also, the toggle that is supposed to tighten the protector doesn’t stay adjusted so it slips down.

I bought this so my cat would be more comfortable without the cone, which worked. I bought the small but it wasn't adequate protection. He's long and the cushion

I bought this so my cat would be more comfortable without the cone, which worked. I bought the small but it wasn't adequate protection. He's long and the cushion isn't much to keep him from getting sutures. He managed to kick bought off while wearing them. I think more cushion and it would be perfect. It does come vacuum sealed

Cute but not worth it

My 7 monthish old kitten broke this within minutes. The tie around the neck remains stretchy and not super tight (great for movement, not great for keeping on)

My 7 monthish old kitten broke this within minutes. The tie around the neck remains stretchy and not super tight (great for movement, not great for keeping on). The cord snapped within minutes and this is now another toy for my cats.
