Each pet will need their own tracker, and each tracker will need to be activated with its own subscription plan. A separate subscription plan is needed because each Tractive GPS device contains an integrated SIM card, which generates monthly costs similar to a cell phone. These costs are fully covered by Tractive and only a small subscription fee is charged.

It works!

I adopted an adult outdoor cat from a rescue organization. Because she desperately wants to go outside, I have been looking for ways I can allow her to do so, while maintaining her whereabouts. I bought this device and signed up for a year membership. There are aspects of this device that worked well on occasion. It failed to notify me when my cat was in a danger zone. My cat lost the collar twice. The first time I was able to find it after calling the help desk and asking them to take the device off power-saving mode, so the Live and Radar features could activate. They finally did that, and after searching and with some luck I found the collar. I had also activated the sound feature, but it was barely audible. The second time, I realized that the tracking device - despite indicating it had a good charge and was in power-saving mode - never did seem to be tracing her from the moment she ventured out. She came back without the collar, and I have not been able to find it. :(

Very good tracking

Tracks very good but the 2-5 days battery life is 100% fiction. Let your cat out and you have a good 24hrs as long as your not watching him/her every 20 minutes

I like to track our cats, especially at night.

What I didn't expect, was to pay for a subscription to be able to track them. This should be stated UP FRONT before one purchases it.

Tracker doesn’t work. App is unreliable. NO customer support & NO refunds.

I just bought & activated mini tracker directly from Tractive in late July. The Live Tracking wouldn’t work when in Safe Zone, which is when I need it the most

I just bought & activated mini tracker directly from Tractive in late July. The Live Tracking wouldn’t work when in Safe Zone, which is when I need it the most. Tried contacting customer support mid August and it took them a few days to respond. Frustrated that I couldn’t access customer support or gets response more quickly, and just dissatisfied with customer service, I said I wanted to cancel my subscription and wanted a refund for the remaining 11 months. They said there are no refunds on unused subscriptions. THIS is illegal. I searched FTC (Federal Trade Commission) complaints against Tractive. I suggest you do the same if you’re thinking about committing to a year of a product that doesn’t keep your pet safe. Tractive exploits our love for our pets, takes our money for an inferior product with no intention of refunding us when we want to part ways with them. Another thing I just noticed, I can’t turn off Auto-Renew in my account settings. This is the practice of fraudulent application developers.
