I hate this feed so much--VITAMIN A LEVELS TOO HIGH

This feed has way too much Vitamin A for the rate they recommend to feed at, as my PhD equine nutritionist has told me. The Vitamin A levels are ESPECIALLY problematic

This feed has way too much Vitamin A for the rate they recommend to feed at, as my PhD equine nutritionist has told me. The Vitamin A levels are ESPECIALLY problematic for growing horses. I regret feeding this to my growing horse. Another equine nutritionist has reached out to them about their problematic vitamin A levels, so Tribute is AWARE of the issue but refusing to do anything about it. Higher feed rates = more feed consumed = more money. Greedy company and poor practices--I am never going to buy anything from Tribute ever again.

I’ve fed this to my borderline metabolic mustang mare for over three years, and she has always eaten every pellet. She keeps a great topline and muscle without being too chunky, it’s been wonderful. However, this last bag I purchased, she won’t touch. I thought there must be something wrong with her teeth and actually had the vet out to sedate her and examine her and her mouth (everything was perfect). Then I did an experiment where I fed her alfalfa pellets, to which she ate every piece, and then fed her the ration balancer, which she snubbed. So either my mare had had a severe and sudden shift in taste preference, or something about the formula is different. I’m bummed!

I usually regret clipping my horse in the fall because as a chestnut he turns this pale tan color. This year he’s a rich chocolate and shiny! The only thing Ive changed recently is his feed. As a senior horse I don’t want him over eating to keep weight on so this balancer is perfect.

I've used several different ration balancers in the past for my easy-keeper TB, but this one put a bloom on his coat that I've never seen before! He came out in dapples and looks fantastic. Very palatable, low feed quantity so a bags lasts a long time, and his shape is better than ever, no more 'hay belly', just a nice even roundness all over. Really happy with this product!

Didn't work for my horses

I changed to this feed for my mare who I've had for over a year and who just wasn't coming into summer with any bloom. After adding this feed and some other trace minerals she has had a complete BLOOM! Gained weight (with only 1 pound per day), feet looked 10X better, coat glossy, top line restored. It's now part of our daily wellness regiment! I also recently got a very race fit gelding off the track and started him on the same regiment and he's also showing great overall bloom since arriving.
