Orphan foal will eat

Colt lost his mom at 3 weeks. Within two days he was willing to nibble on the pellets. It took longer to get him to drink a milk replacer. At five weeks old now

Colt lost his mom at 3 weeks. Within two days he was willing to nibble on the pellets. It took longer to get him to drink a milk replacer. At five weeks old now I credit the milk pellets with keeping him alive while he adjusted to drinking milk replacer.

Foal Foundation Feed

I can't get my foal, let alone any of my horses, to eat this feed. It smells rancid! Even my horse that will eat anything turns her nose up at it. I'm guessing

I can't get my foal, let alone any of my horses, to eat this feed. It smells rancid! Even my horse that will eat anything turns her nose up at it. I'm guessing the feed wasn't stored properly, and being a milk base feed, it spoiled either in the warehouse or on the delivery truck. Very disappointed.
