Compounding pharmacists mix or change one or more FDA-approved medications to prepare a special medication for your pet. For example, if a medication is only available in pill form, the pharmacist might create it in liquid, gel, or capsule form.
Your pet may have a specific health need that cannot be addressed by an FDA-approved drug. For example:

We were giving Bindi the liquid form, beef flavored, and she acted as if we were poisoning her. It was considerably cheaper but absolutely not worth her experience every day. Now, she waits with a wagging tail for her "treat."
I had a subscription with another vet pharmaceutical that I was paying double the price for! and my dog did not like the "chicken flavor" of. I switched to Chewy and now my pet enjoys his medication in a form of a treat.
My dog Greta enjoyed these chewies. She thought they were treats so it was much easier than hiding a pill in peanut butter or cheese. The fact that Chewy was able to compound a 20mg dose is great because the pills options were 10 or 30mg. Saved me a lot of money for the dose she needed.
Easy to cut up so dog takes it in his food easier, but costs more than capsules
I was trying to save money because Vetoryl is very expensive, so I gave the compounded a try for a week or so. I deeply regret it. All symptoms came back. Just purchased Vetoryl again.
Prince has Cushing. Since using your Chewy compound product his coat has improved a great deal. Prince had been on another compound and there is no comparison in the results. Thank-you!
works great with both of my dogs they take it very easily
I tried buying this bc it is less expensive than buying from my vet. The first night she took one my dog was severely constipated and in pain. They are NOT the same as the pills from the vet- THESE are compounded. As soon as my dog finally cleared it from her system, she was fine. I am still waiting on instructions for a refund, but no one has been in touch and I am getting upset.
This med is prescribed for those mets with Cushing's disease in dogs and I highly recommend it. It prolonged the life of my dog far longer than I was told and ever imagined.
My dog was recently diagnosed with cushings disease and prescribed this medication. She has no teeth so I went with this option so that I could grate each tablet and mix it into her food. It is a convenient way for me to ensure she gets her meds daily.
