I bought it for Nutmeg
But Petie Pie took it over. This is a sturdy piece, surprisingly high quality for such a good price. Nutmeg had an old one of these that he slept in every night
But Petie Pie took it over. This is a sturdy piece, surprisingly high quality for such a good price. Nutmeg had an old one of these that he slept in every night but the rope was pretty ratty so I got a new one for him. I decided to just add the new one before taking the old one, and I’m glad because it turns out Nutmeg is quite happy with his ratty old hammock. But now Petie Pie sleeps beside him, which is really sweet.

The box arrived in complete shambles. It was all taped together and pieced together and there was a random piece of cardboard covering a hole. The screws are missing

It takes quite a lot to support her 16lbs, but I barely had this assembled before both my cat is were fighting over who got to sit in it. I have to order a second one now, just to keep the peace! Assembly was a touch frustrating but that’s more my dexterity with an Allen key than anything else. 16/10

Good and bad, needs improvement
I bought this to replace the existing hammock since this had the bed/cubby bottom and technically could offer 3 perches in one. The hammock, the cubby in the bottom
I bought this to replace the existing hammock since this had the bed/cubby bottom and technically could offer 3 perches in one. The hammock, the cubby in the bottom and then the top area of the cubby below the hammock. It is a pain to put together. It is hard to align the 4 small poles in the bottom area. Mine isn't wobbly like some mentioned but it could be they didn't get everything aligned properly or possibly tightened all the way. I don't think I will buy this again even though I like it better than the other hammock style we had. I already need replacement scratching posts and I don't see them listed for sale. Otherwise the top hammock is fine and the bottom is fine. My cats haven't tried to tear them up. I do cover the hammock with a small kitty blanket most of the time since it's not washable. I also put a thin crate mat in the bottom area for the same reason. To the people who make these items - they need washable covers!

I have one that’s about 4 years old. The base is solid. This base is like an accordion that has to have 4 poles to keep it together; before the hammock and its poles can be attached. I could never get even one of the four bottoms poles attached. I asked for refund. Trixie should go back to their original base design. Also fabric on this model is see through. I don’t think it would last long.
