This is a well made and sturdy cat tree. I didn’t have any trouble putting this together like other reviewers have said. It’s just a few posts that screw together with bolts, no fancy fasteners or tools needed. I found it to be pretty self-explanatory. The cats love hanging out in the hammock by the window and it’s big enough even for my floofiest floof!
Cat is utilizing this for everything; scratching post, comfy pouch to snooze and even uses the lower level rug for sleeping. Quite the exceptional purchase.
I want to like this but the stitching started to come off on day two and it was really challenging to assemble. Traumatizing to undo and send back for a refund, which is deserved and what I should do. They make cheap products and sell at a low price point but there’s no real value if you toss it in the trash in a year or less.
This was a nightmare to put together. I have bought many many cat trees in my time and never had the trouble this gave me. You have to put the thing together starting with the hammock. As others have said the instructions are just about non existent. I will not buy this again.
I'm probably going to buy another one of these for my parents house. The instructions aren't great but I haven't found any of these trees that have 'detailed' instructions - and to my own chagrin I have at least seven or eight different ones to prove it. If you can build with legos, these go together pretty easy. Assembly wasn't difficult, just a little confusing. As I recall it gets built from top down instead of bottom up like most. The modification: The important thing with this particular model is that as built the 'seniors' might have difficulty getting from the second step over the rim of the basket. the simple solution is to switch the steps so the lower one is in the center. it makes it much simpler for them to walk up and around. Also of note, because of the simple design, you can reverse the steps if you want it to face the opposite direction.
I needed a small cat tree for the cats for my office. I have many 6ft trees but this is perfect for this space! They love it.
the steps make it very easy for my older cats to walk up. the hammock style seems to be a hit also.
This cat post is pretty much all bad. Assembly was a nightmare - the 'instructions' that come with this almost make it harder. It was broken by the time I put it together - I don't know if it came like that or if I broke it when trying to do the ridiculous physics needed to put this together. My cat was not impressed and would not use it. It seems like a really good idea and I wish it was executed better.
My cats who weigh between 12 to 14 pounds love this hammock post! They obviously have to take turns sitting in it, but the one who does not get in lays on the bottom platform rubbing on the lowest post until it is his turn. I keep this by the front door so I can slide it in and out as the weather allows the door to sit open. They still nap in it when it is not in the front door.
Sammy absolutely loves the hammock. Sleeps in it all the time but I just wish there were replacements for the hammock so it can be washed. I guess if it wears out I’ll have to purchase another one. Thanks Chewy
