Spot Clean.
It is on the smaller side for sure so if you have a larger cat I would not recommend. But my petite baby is obsessed with this thing and sleeps on it every night! she took to it immediately. Love it
I've had two of these shelves on my wall for about a year and a half and my kitty LOVES them. He sleeps on them, he jumps around on them, and he uses one to get onto the window sill. I love these shelves. (I should mention other reviews that say the drilling hardware sucks are right, I used my own screws and dry wall anchors to install these.) But my 16lb cutie had a scare this morning when he jumped from one shelf to another and the first shelf lost one of its 2 wall anchors and swiveled off the wall!! I checked to see if the screw had somehow come loose, but was dismayed to find that the shelf itself had splintered and the screw was just fine. (See pictures.) I'm sad! Now my big boy can't get up to the window sill, and I'm nervous to buy another one of these shelves to replace it. So if you have a smaller kitty I absolutely recommend this shelf, but if you have hefty cat with a lot of energy like I do be aware that it could break.
I don't know if these would be used because I haven't found a place I'd like to put them. In these days of open-concept homes, it's hard to find wall space. I took one out of the box, the other box is still unopened.
I think it's the slick cushion. My cat has never laid in it. And it's tiny really. I thought about turning it over and modifying it and making it a bridge LOL
I had to buy three of them for each of my cats because they all love it so much. I have more shelves hanging but they always end up laying on these shelves. Excellent product
Immediately fell out of the wall when our cat jumped onto it because the drywall anchors are terrible quality. Luckily our cat wasnt hurt. Now I get to patch a couple holes in our living room wall and repaint.DO NOT BUY.
Similar issue as others - just awful build quality and hardware. Fastened into a stud on one connection and used a drywall anchor for the other. Second or third time my cat used it, it ripped right from the wall. The screw and washer into the stud was still in the wall, and the anchor and screw on the other side stayed in the step. The junky composite back wall material completely disintegrated when loaded. My cat is around 10 lbs, but that’s not relevant. This product is poor quality junk even when installed in the best of circumstances. Just glad my buddy wasn’t injured.
They love the new addition! One of the best seats in the house for the first one there lol but they have multiple perches . This one gets the most use . It fits the aesthetic and doesn’t look out of place in your living room! I love it and they do to!
I really wanted this shelf to work. I read the directions carefully and used a 1/16 drill bit to drill pilot holes. This was not large enough to get the anchors into the wall. Had a hard time getting the holes big enough, then when I finally did the one aligned with the stud was secure but the second hole (no stud) could NOT support the weight of the shelf. The holes in the shelf do not allow it to be mounted on 2 studs. So I tried a few different drywall anchors (which I had at home already) with no success. I will have to save this shelf and create a bigger backboard large enough to drill into both wall studs or move to a different house.
The box came already open and the shelf had several randomly drilled holes in it. It looks like it had maybe been returned from a previous order. Super disappointed.
