Can the hook and loop adhesive damage my windowsill if I remove it?

Does the Velcro strip leave a sticky residue when you remove it?

When the velcro strip is removed some adhesive residue may remain on the surface. If this occurs, common household cleaning supplies can be used to remove the adhesive residue.

Not as expected

The biggest complaint I have is with the mounting of the shelf. I was under the impression that the brackets would mount to the wall but they didn’t. The ‘securing’

The biggest complaint I have is with the mounting of the shelf. I was under the impression that the brackets would mount to the wall but they didn’t. The ‘securing’ of the shelf was adhesive used for the window ledge which we weren’t happy about because that’s going to destroy the window ledge so we didn’t want to use it and we didnt think it would matter because we thought the brackets used for support would attach to the wall with screws, however it did not and I feel like that added to the wonky install. In fact, we followed all the installation instructions and one of the cats jumped up onto the perch and it fell. So, we decided to improvise and not rely on the adhesive to be the strength of holding the shelf/perch in place; we drilled holes in the brackets so that we could screw the brackets to the wall for securing it.

Easy assembly cat perch

This was so very easy to get up and installed. No issues. BUT .... It will not stay up. Falls off weekly if not several times a week. So unreliable and unsafe. Cats

It's comfortable and a great size. Just will not stay up. Currently looking into how to use this as a base and make my own that will actually work.

Nicely made, but not quite what I expected

This window perch was nicely made and looks super comfy, however I didn’t realize how permanent it was and I really don’t want to mess up the trim on my window sill

This window perch was nicely made and looks super comfy, however I didn’t realize how permanent it was and I really don’t want to mess up the trim on my window sill :( I thought it was going to be something that could be taken down easily whenever I needed more space or wanted to move it to a different window. I may just end up re-homing it to someone that has a more permanent location for it.

Dangerous

My ca was sitting on the seat and it came loose from the window and fell with my cat on it. Was secured my the adhesive that came with the seat but didn’t work

Sturdy and easy to assemble

It was pretty quick to put together and both my cats love it! I knocked down 1 star from my review because it fell today. The bed is only supported on the window

Functionality

My pet was hesitant to stay on this perch. After many weeks of reassuring him it was stable, he curled up on it one day and sat for hours! To our disappointment

My pet was hesitant to stay on this perch. After many weeks of reassuring him it was stable, he curled up on it one day and sat for hours! To our disappointment the perch fell off the windowsill. The adhesive could not hold the weight of my 10lb cat for more than a few hours. It does not do what it claims to. Needless to say my cat will not go near it now.

Can be easily stripped and washed for cleanliness. Just make sure to do a dry run before applying the Velcro strip to the ledge to ensure you set up correctly.
