If you have asthma or have been around people with asthma this spacer should not be of any shock. It is essentially the same but for animal snouts. I appreciated that mine came with two muzzle sizes, both work for my cat. I was nervous about counting breaths until I realized a green flap in the spacer physically moves per breath, making the entire experience of giving my kitty her asthma medicine so much easier. I will warn pet owners, especially cat owners, that I wouldn't bother testing out triggering the inhaler while your pet's face is in the spacer. Doing that freaked out my cat really bad, and prior to that she was not afraid of the spacer at all nor did she mind having it on her face. Because we tested it out, she is now afraid of the spacer and we will need to regain that trust. So, if your animal tends to be untrustworthy towards new things, go ahead and trigger the inhaler medication into the spacer before placing your pet's muzzle in the mouth side!!

This review is based on the delivery and not the actual item. The aerosol chamber is for my cat and is to be used as a rescue inhaler and fortunately I have not had to use it. The item was delivered with a few other things but was placed under a heavy item and the box was smashed. It looks like the aerosol chamber was not damaged...hopefully not damaged as it will only be used in an emergency. This was not the only item smashed nor it is the first shipping problem I have had with Chewy in the recent months. I have been a customer since 2017 and this type of stuff used to never happen, but now it seems that they just don't care about the quality of their customer service.

this is the most stress-free way to treat your cat. i've never treated cat asthma before so when my little girl was diagnosed i was so nervous. after a couple weeks of using the inhaler its turned into a positive experience for the both of us, she'll even purr while taking her meds, probably cuz she knows she's getting a treat for it! she'll even cuddle me afterwards cuz i sit her on my lap to do it. this is a must-have for cat asthma, and if you introduce it to them right, they'll learn to appreciate it!

Great device. I showed this to my cat before needing to use it. I also dispensed the inhaler in it before placing it on her face....didn't want to scare her. I wrapped her in a swaddle and with lots of comforting words, put this over her nose and mouth. A bit apprehensive but used it and it worked.

Works except ...

The little flapper thing that allows the medicine to flow through gets stuck if not COMPLETELY dry, and it's hard to tell sometimes if it is until you try to use

Quality product

My 15 year old cat is not the most cooperative. Although we're daily successful. Fits well. The directions lack a bit. I very pleased with product and my inhaler
