How many pounds of food will fit in the 12 and 17 gallon storage bin?

A 12 gallon can hold roughly 50 lbs of food, depending on type of feed stored. So a 17 gallon bucket can hold about 80 lbs again depending on density of the stored feed.

Air tight and seems easy to open/close lid

Searched high and low for an airtight feed container that would be easy to open/close at a busy barn. Settled on this one, and added the dolly. So far, so good.

I gave it 4 stars as we had to file the lip that the tab fits into (part of the lid which, along with the snap-up handles, make these so secure against the raccoons) in order for the tab to fit under it.

It's not a true twist off lid. It twists & cat he's into a groove on each side. The handles flip up at each groove for extra closure. I have had it almost a month
