I found myself having to purchase another blanket for an older horse with Cushings. He has alot of hair but I didn't want to take the risk that he was warm enough with just his winter fur, when our temps went below zero with windchills in the negative 20s. This blanket is well made, hooks up easily and isn't too heavy. I could easily lift it onto his back and he is a tall one. I got the royal blue and it is a striking color when he is in the pasture with his herdmates. I will be ordering another blanket for another older horse that has to wear an old and heavy one currently.
