Sizing horrible inaccurate

I measured my son for fit and compared it to the size chart. According to the chart, the size 12 should have fit him with room to grow (a couple extra inches everywhere)

I measured my son for fit and compared it to the size chart. According to the chart, the size 12 should have fit him with room to grow (a couple extra inches everywhere). It is the tiniest size 12 I’ve ever seen in my life. Just looking at it, I’d call it a size 6. He is a smaller eleven year old and he cannot button it and the sleeves are laughably too short. Very, very annoying to have to return it and figure out if they even make a size that will fit him.

sleeves seem to run short

Bought a 14 for my 11 year old based on the measurements available. She’s not husky but not super slim and for the most part this jacket fit her well except for the sleeves. They looked short and when she put on and extended her arms the sleeves were way too short. Seems oddly sized for a 14 to have stumpy sleeve length. Other than that it is soft and flexible and comfy (which matters to her at this age), not the most polished but def does the job for a growing child between sizes- with exception of sleeve length.
