UltraCruz Natural Pest Control Poultry Spray, 1-gal bottle

We're relatively new homesteaders. I'm an avid wild bird watcher. So when we moved to this little farm in a beautiful valley just a country block from the Mighty Mississippi, where so many birds, which I've never heard of, migrate from as far south as the southernmost tip of South America (we're in NW IL) the singing of these birds fills the air like a beautiful orchestra. Then we got chickens. The chickens got mites from the wild birds. We sadly lost one in a slow and cruel death as a result of not knowing what it was. Most of our quite spread out farming neighbors have chickens. So in our quest for help, we were given a cardboard cylindrical container with a powdered chemical called permethryn. Very caustic with warnings of it's toxicity. Wear gloves, it said. It was so hard for me to catch each chicken, douse them with this powder, then rub it to fall beneath their wings. It did lessen the itching by killing most of the mites but one got it in her eyes and she was blinded for several days several tomes. So sad. We had to put Vaseline on their feet to sufficate the eggs that the mites were laying in their leg skin! They hated both those application processes. This went on for months with us not understanding where these mites were coming from. When I finally realized it was my plethora of wild birds coming to my many feeders I was at a crossroads. Do we get rid of these wonderful, healthy free range, egg laying chickens....some even blue and some green aside from the big brown ones? I named these chickens and they actually responded to their names!! Or do I stop feeding the wild birds? No to both was my answer. In comes Chewy. We are on autoship for urinary, prescription cat food and their own brand money saving indoor cat litter. I called to expedite our order as we had been navigating the delivery time frame. I got it in 2 days and was elated how simple it worked! I can spray in a mist or a direct stream from up to 6 feet away! It is safe for their coop, pen, nesting boxes and the chickens themselves. It does not affect their eggs. Such a fantastic fast acting result! Goldie was practically bald of feathers from the mites. Now she flaunts her beautiful red feathers once again! The bottle does warn not to get in their eyes. It's all natural essential oils combo, so that is undestandable.
