Backwards latches

After two hours, struggling to put the gate together, there was no way to latch it. The latches that I received were backwards. There was nothing to hook them onto

After two hours, struggling to put the gate together, there was no way to latch it. The latches that I received were backwards. There was nothing to hook them onto. They would not fit on the gate properly, after reviewing the directions, and then looking at the actual photo of one assembled, I realized my gate came with two backward latches that were probably meant for a different gate or assembled wrong

We took in a stray cat and bought this gate to keep the stray and our other 2 cats apart, until they got used to each other's scent, putting it together on the other hand was a nightmare, very complicated directions, and I think my husband and I used every swear word we know and made a few up along the way! After we finally got it put together, it's a great gate!

The directions are totally useless. Luckily, I'm an old country woman. I've been building shelters and fences my whole life. I threw away the directions and used common sense. It is a decent gate, works for my pets. I recently brought in an injured (sprained leg) cat and need to keep him quiet while he heals. This is perfect. I'm not sure if it is strong enough for larger animals.

Don’t Bother

The gate is mostly plastic, we bought it because it was adjustable and it should have fit our door. Problem 1 is the top pieces of the gate don’t actually screw

The gate is mostly plastic, we bought it because it was adjustable and it should have fit our door. Problem 1 is the top pieces of the gate don’t actually screw in at all. Despite being extended all the way to the ceiling the gate kept falling out of place. The gates adjustability meant we either had a big gap or I couldn’t add the latching mechanism. Not worth the price.

the solution I've been looking for as a doorway barrier for cats!

This checked all the boxes of my requirements. it fits a narrow entry in an older house, completely prevents cats from getting through or over, and is very easy to latch and unlatch. It is exactly what I needed and didn't break the bank in price--all other options I've seen were at least twice this price. Visually, it looks a lot nicer than any homemade option I've come up with.

It doesn’t keep tension so it’s constantly sliding out of place. The only reason it hasn’t fallen is because it’s nailed into the trim. But $150 for something that doesn’t fully work is very annoying

Mostly because the instructions were confusing My two cats have tried hard, but have been unsuccessful in getting through the gate or unlatching it, which gives me a space to wrap Christmas presents in peace. For that I am grateful. I would recommend this product.
