The 1-milliliter syringe is recommended for Small dogs weighing from 1-30 pounds, the 3-milliliter syringe is recommended for Medium dogs weighing from 31-60 pounds and the 5-milliliter syringe is recommended for Large dogs weighing from 61-120 pounds. For dogs exceeding 120 pounds, give an additional syringe to equal the dog's weight.

How often is it safe to administer this product to your dog?

Once the cap is taken off, the whole syringe has to be used within 48 hours. If your dog has chronic diarrhea, then the Van Beek Natural Sciences Synacore Digestive Support Dog Supplement is the better option.

I ordered this based on the recommendation of the vet for my dog that has had ongoing diarrhea due to medications she has had to be on for an illness. It did not work for her after 2 doses. I gave the last dose to our older dog who demolished a bone in a short amount of time. It did work for him.

I've used Diagel for diarrhea in my small and larger dogs to good effect for years. In addition to starting a bland diet, pumpkin puree, probiotics, I often add diagel when it looks like I need a bit more control in hopes to avoid having to go see the vet. Often the diagel slows the loose stools and allows the gut to firm up the stools and maintain better hydration. Worth the small cost of diagel if it avoids having to go to the vet.
